You can use this board's EzCodes to insert images etc, but its not nearly as versitile as raw HTML. Below is some HTML code that you can use to make your posts more interesting:

To avoid accidentally making a mistake, always click the "Preview" checkbox at the bottom near the buttons at the bottom of your post. Do not create test messages. Just create a normal message and use preview before actually posting it.

Step 1:
If you want to do some of the more complex things, its recommended that you register. That way everything you do will always be with you not to mention many other features. Click the link at the top of this page to register.

Step 2:
Turn on HTML checkbox. If your're registered you can set this up in your preferences so you don''t have to set it everytime. If you want to have a signature that appears at the bottom of all of your posts you must be registered and set that up in your preferecnes. Remember HTML ignores spaces except the first. You can use as many spaces as you want between images etc, you can use this to make your code easier to understand. You can't use spaces between things that don't normally have a space between them.

Step 3:
Put HTML code in your posts/signature

For an Image
1) Set up some webspace such as on Geocities.com and upload your images there.
2) Try to keep the image's file size less than 100k
2) Put a direct link to your image such as by putting the following code in substiuting where necessary.

<Img src="http://www.wherever.com/Directory/File.gif>

To Center something use the code

Before what you want to center

After what you want to center

Example:

<Img Src="http://www.wherever.com/Directory/File.gif>

Would make a centered image.

To change font color do this:
Insert your text here
You can use Blue,Yellow,Pink, and a large number of colors.

I think that should get you started. But be responsible with what you do. Remember that Images take a long time to come in and even if you have a cable modem, most people still have a 28,800 modem.

And poor use of colors will prevent people from even attempting to read your post. And can make the entire board more difficult to use.

Do not use "Test" posts. Use the Preview button instead.

Violations of too many images and/or poor use of colors will result in your post being removed. To avoid accidentally making a mistake, always click the "Preview" checkbox at the bottom near the buttons at the bottom of your post.

Edited by Neelick at: 8/25/00 3:32:33 pm
