Anyone know how you can connect a PC and DC to be able to bounce VMU games and animations into a VMU (or maybe PC to VMU for that matter)<br><br>Also, I got this one second hand, is it supposed to come WITH a browser CD? Where can you get one? Mine doesn't have it.... <p><center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="320"> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.angelfire.com/electronic/menagerie" target="new"><img src="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/promo2.jpg" border="0" width="520" height="120"></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><br><b><p align="center"><font size=5>Fear is good, keep that. Okay, time for the Sega otaku to do his stuff! ^_^ Ahem... Well, you don't download the files to your PC, you use the Dreamcast internet browser CD to download them to your VMU. But you don't have one... You can often find used ones at Babages or Software Etc (or anywhere else that sells used games) for about $.75-$1.00. If you can't find one there, you can buy a new one from sega. Go to <!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://newbrowser.sega.com/">newbrowser.sega.com/</a><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--> for all the info on that. It used to be free to get new ones, but now the really fancy browser costs like $20 and the older version costs $3 or so.... Any more questions? <p><hr align="left"><div align="center"> <center> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="middle"> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"><img border="0" src="http://www.buncha-network.com/sigednwashu.jpg" alt="Washu and Edward" width="350" height="300"></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle" width="602"> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"> <b>~Pessimism~</b></p> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"> <i>"Every dark cloud has a silver lining, but lightning kills hundreds of people each year who are trying to find it"</i></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td vAlign="center" align="middle" width="602"> <p align="center"><b><a href="http://pub61.ezboard.com/bbunchanetworkmessageboard" target="_blank">BN/OC Community Message Board</a><font size="2"><a href="http://www.buncha-network.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://www.buncha-network.com/tenchibanner.gif" alt="Tenchi Muyo @ Buncha-Network.com" width="468" height="60"></a></font></b></p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </center></div></body></p><i></i>

Ok, so what your saying is that there is no way to do a LAN sort of thing between them to move files back and forth. Right?<br><br> <p><center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="320"> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.angelfire.com/electronic/menagerie" target="new"><img src="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/promo2.jpg" border="0" width="520" height="120"></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><br><b><p align="center"><font size=5>Fear is good, keep that. Unfortunately, no... I thought of another way as well, if you're willing to spend some money, Nexus makes a VMU that can be hooked up to your PC and then you could transfer files that way. It's hard to find though.... I'm sure you could find it online somewhere.... <p><hr align="left"><div align="center"> <center> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="middle"> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"><img border="0" src="http://www.buncha-network.com/sigednwashu.jpg" alt="Washu and Edward" width="350" height="300"></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle" width="602"> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"> <b>~Pessimism~</b></p> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"> <i>"Every dark cloud has a silver lining, but lightning kills hundreds of people each year who are trying to find it"</i></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td vAlign="center" align="middle" width="602"> <p align="center"><b><a href="http://pub61.ezboard.com/bbunchanetworkmessageboard" target="_blank">BN/OC Community Message Board</a><font size="2"><a href="http://www.buncha-network.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://www.buncha-network.com/tenchibanner.gif" alt="Tenchi Muyo @ Buncha-Network.com" width="468" height="60"></a></font></b></p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </center></div></body></p><i></i>

Yeah, I saw that, it has some sort of "PC cable" as I remember.<br><br>I think I'll just get that browser CD, and use the DC to log into my dialup ISP account that I presently use for my PC.<br><br>This is all for my son, he got kinda excited about that whole VMU mini-game thing. <br><br>We got a VMU with the system, but no documents. I didn't realize at first that the card will remember with dead batteries, but not work independently. A quick check reveiled two VERY sock CR2032 bats, so I called the undertaker, and went out a get two new ones.<br><br>Now the VMU works like it should. And since he got "Trick Style" with the system, he was able to load a minigame onto the VMU from it.<br><br>For the moment, he's happy.<br><br>Thanks for all the input Kori.<br><br>One last question.<br><br>I bought this used, and we got:<br><br>-1 Game Deck (the box that the CD goes into and has all the sockets and plugs<br>-1 AV cable<br>-1 Controller (I got another used already)<br>-1 Power Cord<br>-1 MadCats memory card (I know that's 3rd party)<br>-1 VMU (sans terminal cover)<br>-2 Games "Trick Style" and "OutTrigger"<br>-0 Manuals (I have already leeched the PDFs from sega.com)<br><br>Is there anything missing from that list? Anything that isn't there that would have come from a brand new box? <p><center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="320"> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.angelfire.com/electronic/menagerie" target="new"><img src="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/promo2.jpg" border="0" width="520" height="120"></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><br><b><p align="center"><font size=5>Fear is good, keep that. The only thing missing would be the internet browser disc... But you did get some nice extra stuff though (The VMU, the games)... One warning about the VMU mini-games, they eat batteries like crazy! And you can only have one mini-game/animation on the VMU at any time... if you put another on it will erase the old one... <p><hr align="left"><div align="center"> <center> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="middle"> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"><img border="0" src="http://www.buncha-network.com/sigednwashu.jpg" alt="Washu and Edward" width="350" height="300"></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle" width="602"> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"> <b>~Pessimism~</b></p> <p align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"> <i>"Every dark cloud has a silver lining, but lightning kills hundreds of people each year who are trying to find it"</i></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td vAlign="center" align="middle" width="602"> <p align="center"><b><a href="http://pub61.ezboard.com/bbunchanetworkmessageboard" target="_blank">BN/OC Community Message Board</a><font size="2"><a href="http://www.buncha-network.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://www.buncha-network.com/tenchibanner.gif" alt="Tenchi Muyo @ Buncha-Network.com" width="468" height="60"></a></font></b></p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </center></div></body></p><i></i>

Ah, that explains it.<br><br>That LCD must draw alot of current. I work in electronics and I see those 2032 batteries used often for memory backup. In those cases the batteries last 5 to 10 *years* so I was wondering why the heck the ones in this VMU died so quickly.<br><br>Now I know. <br><br>Thanks a ton Kori!! ^_^<br><br> <p><center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="320"> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.angelfire.com/electronic/menagerie" target="new"><img src="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/promo2.jpg" border="0" width="520" height="120"></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><br><b><p align="center"><font size=5>Fear is good, keep that.
