FFX Best dvd game

O.o The character designs in FFX were great...the Battle system is beyond perfection...and the plot is quite possibly the best thing Square has ever given us in an FF, with the exception of maybe FF6. Ummm FF7? Err I am sorry I would have to say FFX is MUCH better. Man, I don't know how I last through the pain of Final Fantasy. I think you folks need to play some other RPGs besides FF so you can adequately gauge it's quality. You guys really like the FFX plot? Don't you see how formulaic it is. Every FF game, I swear has the same exact plot. Infact many RPGs have the same plot only the FF series always has the same ones. I love your Macross siggie Nate! YF-19 is the best! The only FF that I have played is 7. It sits on my book shelf next to my PS2. It is still in perfect shape, without a single scratch on the disks! Neo Kamidake Amazing but true... If all the salmon caught in Canada in one year were laid end to end across the Sahara Desert, the smell would be absolutely awful. Amazing but true... Looks like it's back to Harvest Moon Save the Homeland for me. (Which incidentally is more innovative and fun compared to the other Harvest Moon titles than FF series to FFX). Blahh! I enjoy FFX. A lot more than I have with any new or old RPG's, with the sole exception of Chrono Trigger. There isn't anything that Yuj can say to change this. Thank Something for FFX! It's the only game my brother has forced us to watch by tieing up the TV that I can actually enjoy. I really hated the other Final Fantasies, but this one is just great. I've watched my brother play a bit of it, enough to maybe judge it somewhat. The only real problems I have with it are the random battles (hate those things) and some of the characters. Yuna (?) is sooooo... geh! She pisses me off. Tidus should get interested in that crazy Rikku girl and stop trying to rescue the ever-submissive and boring Yuna from kidnapping attempts. The thing I do like about the characters is that they all seem to have flaws, although Tidus's are harder to find and are really, well, dumb. He's kind of like someone little boys can live vicariously through, which is never a good sign as far as character development goes. Maybe this changes later in the game, but I'll likely not get to see if it does for a few weeks. My favorite part of it is the sphere grid. The little spheres go *ploink* and shimmer! Yay! Also, the battle system makes much more sense to me than the preveious Final Fantasies my brother forced me to watch. It really is MUCH better than the others, and it's entertainng. So, yay! As far as nay-sayers go, it's just a game. RPGs come in many shapes, sizes, and styles. Why discriminate when other people are having fun? The thing I really miss about RPGs are the 2d scrolling ones with the little sprites that walk around! So cute! They used to be everywhere. Rhapsody is a good example. I think you might like that, Yuj. It's full of cute things and such, oh- and it's a musical! Suikoden 2 was another one of those 2d things that I enjoyed, along with Breath of Fire III- even though I never finished them. Actually- I never finished a single one of my RPGs... Woah! *breaks out old Playstation and a bunch of 2d scrolling RPGs from the stone age* See you guys in a couple of months!

I went to my buddys house the other day and played FFX. I enjoyed it alot! Great game. I only played for an hour or 2 but it R0X <center><img src="http://tenchi-online.com/sig/Tsone.jpg"></center>

It's not the "Anyone who enjoys FFX doesn't know RPGs" attitude as much as it is if people played some good RPG's and stopped ONLY comparing FFX to other bad FF games then FFX would quickly shrink as people saying it is this great fantastical best RPG ever crud. Because quite simply, it's not. ^.^ Enjoy it, thats fine. I haven't been enthralled in an FF like this since FF6. It's an incredible game, and just because you don't accept it doesn't mean it doesn't deserve its place upon the RPG pedestal. I'd like a list of all the games you think are "better" than FFX, and perhaps my other love, Chrono Trigger. LUNAR, Chrono-Trigger (NOT including ChronoCross), Seiken Densetsu Series (NOT including Secret of Mana for PS), Lufia, Breath of Fire, XenoGears (Of all things), Super Mario RPG ('cause it was FUN), Dragon Warrior series, Link series (all of them), Silver (Mac-only RPG, gorgeous and plotty!), Grandia (Some of them), older Ultima games... Luar, Lufia, Xenogears, Super Mario RPG, Grandia (II that is), and the Ultima games are good. (watch out for some of the NES ones). Breath of Fire is overrated, though. And Secret of Mana (for the SNES) is not really an RPG to begin with. The rest I haven't played. Chrono Cross is a great game. I absolutely love it! Ummm Secret of Mana definetly IS an RPG. It's a Role Playing Game you play a role of someone and it's a game. But more then that you have stats and experience two things that are necessary in an RPG. It's an RPG, just it has a really fun real-time combat system that is a lot more fun then the slow unrealistic turn-based ones.
