I've just noticed from reading another board that was talking about blood in Mortal Kombat. ^_^<br><br>When I was younger, I thought that it was cool to have violence and blood in games.<br><br>But now that I'm older, I find that solid gameplay is more important.<br><br>This means that kids like mature games more and true mature gamers like me don't mind playing "kiddie" games that offer fun and solid gameplay. I guess you want what you cannot have or something.<br><br>I'm not saying that Metal Gear Solid 2 does not sport solid gameplay. THis is true, many games have been made that were soley for violance purposes. Soilder of Fortune was like taht. Horrible story line, no real game to get into. But it was probally one of hte bloodiest and violent games i have seen. But MGS2 wasn't any more violent then the first one. The graphics were better so they made it look more realisitc, and more graphic. THere is nothing wrong with what people call "kiddy" games, i myself play pokemon, well i did. YES I PLAYED POKEMON! I concur with DTM and SSJGoku.<br><br>Sometimes, however, there have been instances where certain companies are just a little too squeemish (not only videogame companies of course). I remember the blood or no blood controversy from Mortal Kombat for Nintendo. I WANTED blood. How else would the kill moves work? There is an acceptability line of course, but that was a bit too cautious. Just slap a little sticker (Mature) on the game packaging. What's next? i wont be suprised, but that would be quite a blow on video game sales. How many times i;ve bough games with out my parents there. I think Video game violence is overrated. You see all this media blaming video games for things that happend in the past. Its just a buch of BS. If you ask me, if you really want your child protected against video games, dont buy any console for your child.
