well i know htat s-video is a cleaner and somehow direct picture. I know it works well when using a vcr and an s-video cable, but im not sure what kind of a difference it will make.

"Fear the crazy bunny powers."
(>'.')> A Wookie Straw! <('.'<)

I think I'll just wait till we replace our TV with a HDTV and just buy the component video cables to make sure that I'll see a difference.

My present picture is clear and nice so I don't really have a complaint. And I'm afraid that I'll be spending money for minor upgrade that I'll almost not notice...

Thanks for your answer! ^_^

...living free under my own flag...

The thing is, if you have a good tv and you switch from A/V to S-Video you wont notice to much. On the other hand though if you are getting a HDTV with Progressive Scan capabilities.... you will be drooling everytime you play the GameCube.

//45hu 0//|/|5 j00!

I recently saw some systems being played on a HDTV, and I'm pretty sure that Component is better than S-video. HOWEVER S-video is better than A/V. Does the GC come with a Component slot?

Chances are you wouldn't notice anything, I think...and yes, HDTV's are dead expensive.

<img border="0" src="http://ssjarena.hispeed.com/EZImages/Legatosig.jpg" alt="All people have a sanctuary which must never be touched. Justl ike DVD players a few years back would retail for 800$ or so, now they're much more affordable!

I'm expecting HDTVs to go down in price as well as getting more functions in 2 years. ^_^

By the way, I've been touring my 3 games, Pikmin, SSBM and Rogue LEader! It's just awesome! ^_^ Always soemthing new with each one!!! ^_^ I didn't have this much fun for a very long time!!! ^_^

Zapp: What the hell is that thing?
Kif: It appears to be the mothership.
Zapp: Then what weÂ’d just blow up?
Kif: The Hubble telescope.
