which system?

Be wise and simply pick the system that has the games that you want to play. ^_^ Keep also an eye on the games that will be released for each system to base your judgement on. Like I said before, they have more games that appeal to my personal tastes. I merely stated that those would be my top two picks. Also, I have played some Gamecube. You guys can't put things back in perspective. The PS2 had one of the worst launch possible with the titles available a year or so ago. What was so great? Tell me. GCN comes with great games for launch and people still compare it to the 1 year old PS2. Who the heck still talks about Tekken Tag or Ridge Racer or whatever games launched with the PS2? As for Xbox, I don't see that many great titles either. Halo would be the only truly great one. Sony was allowed to have awful launch titles, they didn't have any competition. Sony's 2nd generation games are better than GCN's and XBox's 1st generation games. Sony will always be a generation ahead, they had bad games at the start but now the sun is shining. Xbox and GCN have much less games than PS2 because they have little developer support compared to Playstation 2. Sony has BOTH Quality and Quantity. Yes, there are some awful games, but there are more good games on PS2 than good games on Xbox or Gamecube. I dislike Sega for putting Jet Set Radio 2 and Shenmue on Xbox, it doesn't deserve them. The only reason they're doing it is because Xbox is "mature." Developers make the decisions on what systems are mature by what games they put on them. Development ease doesn't seem like such a big deal now. There are still more developers making games for Playstation 2 than any other system. That may change but look at Nintendo 64. Third Party support was horrible through the N64's whole life cycle. I highly doubt developers that are already making tons of money off of PS2 are just going to stop making games for it, and start making games for other systems. I think you'll see a different picture when we go into the second half of this year. Then you'll see why short development cycles will pay off. Did you see how many big games are listed to be released during the 3rd and 4th quarters? Especially when GCN's dev kits weren't even sent out early. You can't compare 1st gen to 2nd gen games! No competition doesn't mean you can put out crap... That doesn't justify anything. It just means Sony sucked when it was launched. I remember how people said that there was no killer apps for the PS2 and because of it, they could wait to buy it. Try to fair here. Oh, can you give me a list of GCN games? I'll tell you which ones Nintendo is going to delay until next year. But if all of them are released within 2002, then you're demoded and I get to be in your place. What do you say? You keep saying this and that and I'm tired of how you're so short-sighted. It's as if your entire life cannot have any expectations beyond some weeks in the future. And you use double-standards when it comes to Sony. If any of Mario sunshine, Zelda Gamecube, Star Fox Adventures, Resident Evil, Soul Calibur 2, Eternal Darkness are cancelled or come out after December 31, 2002 you can have my mod. You don't get anything. I'm relying on things that are on paper to support my points. You speculate about release dates that only the developers know for sure. You even disinform other readers by suggesting that Soul Calibur is not a port, saying that it would be coming out on PS2 first. Since I rely on declarations of developers, I'm supposedly right and should not pay anything. You say negative things about Nintendo out of nowhere without any bases to support yourself. You should be losing something. ZL and DBD always rely on facts and when they don't know, they say so. That's why I'm good with them being MOD. I don't care much for being MOD or not, but that's the only thing that can be given to one another on the net. Yujenisis, even though he's very opinionated, always rely on facts and that's why he earns my respect. You're just not fair to Nintendo. When there were talks about the MODs, fairness was a major point. I just don't see you being fair. Edit: No no, I forgot... I'll apologize in front of everyone and recognize how far-seeing you are not to trust Nintendo and how fanboyish I am for trusting the GCN. Reread the edit...I've added something at the same time you added your reply... Well, you said that SC2 is not a port, since it was coming to PS2 first. The suggestion that something comes to a console first means that it's not a port, because the hardware is closest and will be easy to change the codes for. I trust the release dates. You don't trust them. That's why there's this bet. you don't believe in Nintendo being able to deliver. I do. There's a whole lot linked to this. It means that I think Nintendo has changed and that the GCN is easy to develop for and will change Nintendo's competitiveness for the better. You still see Nintendo as the company of a few months back with the N64, always delaying and not getting 3rd party support. You think ease of development is not important for now...?
