Amazing game. It truly is. ^_^ I've had it since Christmas and I've got the nice linux binaries of it, so I can play it multiplayer and singleplayer on Linux. Definetly something that makes it a must-play for me. ^^;;;

I'm in a RTCW clan :) Very fun. Most of the members are from Q3 JB:POW or Q3 TDM, some of whom are some of the more upper tier players. One of my best friends is from the Q3 TDM area and has a pretty good reputation in it. :)

We're signed up in the Battle on the Beachhead Tourney as xtreme Killers (yes, it's a VERY lame name ^^;;;). If you have a chance, get this game, if you're into FPS', that is. ^_^

The festival of carnal desires will begin
The festival of sexual desires will begin
The out of control sadistic festival
The rapid human flesh psycho horror

Edited by: DeathBeforeDishonor at: 2/10/02 2:35:07 pm

Which also reminds me, you should buy Operation Flashpoint if you're into realism and big open massive full islands which you can base huge missions on.
____________________________________________
"Venovano tem, kteri zemreli, abychom my mohli zit."

I would get more games based on WWII (loosely based, that is ^^;;;) and ancient/medieval warfare, but I don't have the computer for it... it's the one thing I curse Linux for--the lack of games :/

The festival of carnal desires will begin
The festival of sexual desires will begin
The out of control sadistic festival
The rapid human flesh psycho horror

If you get Wolf, you really do need a decent video card. A GeForce2 MX should be fine, though. ^_^

The festival of carnal desires will begin
The festival of sexual desires will begin
The out of control sadistic festival
The rapid human flesh psycho horror

RTWC is asking for a minimum of Geforce 2 MX? ^_^ Hmmm...I should be fine with my Radeon... ^_^

Did you try RTWC online already, DBD? ^_^ I'm somewhat tempted to get it, but I'm also hesitating because Unreal 2 is about to be released and I'm very interested in it as well. ^_^ I don't like to spend money on FPS...mainly because I know myself and it's more of a phase than naything else... ^_^

Zapp: What the hell is that thing?
Kif: It appears to be the mothership.
Zapp: Then what weÂ’d just blow up?
Kif: The Hubble telescope.

Nooo.. the minimum is like a 16mb video card, but to really truly experience the game, you need at least a 32/64mb video card. Any less won't do ^_^

The multiplayer for RTCW is great, it's what I'm in the clan for, silly :) It's very fun and is kind of what Quake 3 SHOULD have in it. Very strategetically based and fun. What's GREAT about the game is that if you have good teamwork, you can make up for your lack of skill, but not so much visa-versa. If you have amazing aim, but no teamwork, you can guarrantee that you will lose if you're up against a good team. The key to it is to plan ahead, rely on your team, let your team rely on you, and never underestimate the opponent, otherwise you'll lose.
It's more of a clan-based game. If you can get into a clan, you'll have an amazing time, I think ^_^ If you have enough time to dedicate with a group of individuals to work together, then you'll get along great. ^_^
But getting a clan is the first problem :P I got in a clan because there are a bunch of my friend's in mine :) There are about four people from my town in the clan, maybe it will increase to six sometime, but I'm not sure ^_^

The festival of carnal desires will begin
The festival of sexual desires will begin
The out of control sadistic festival
The rapid human flesh psycho horror

This clan sounds good! ^_^

I might buy the game just to make the Poking Knight's clan. ^_^ hehehe ^_^

But tell me, how realistic is it to fight with a clan? Can you actually injure one of your teamate? ^_^

...But it would not work for me... I'm the only one with a decent computer among my friends... They're still stuck with Pentium machines I think... How big are the clans? ^_^

But the game is quite expensive where I live...It's 90$ CAN, which translates to 60$US...

Zapp: What the hell is that thing?
Kif: It appears to be the mothership.
Zapp: Then what weÂ’d just blow up?
Kif: The Hubble telescope.

It depends on what your settings are :P If friendly fire is on, you can kill/blow you teammate into pieces ^^;;;

Generally speaking, most ladders and tournaments are 7vs7, though they can vary, from 5v5 to 8v8 at most, usually. Most clans have about 8-20 people :P Though many play multiple games... Quake3, UT, CS, etc. ^_^ My clan used to play Q3 JB:POW. My clan has about.. 16 people at the moment, though a few might be kicked out because they haven't showed up at all and not said anything about it ^^;;; Though, you can play on a public server with ease and just play a few rounds without a clan or anything and have a ton of fun, though it's far too often plagued by newbies, rambos, and lamers :P

You might be able to play Wolf on less, but your computer might not be able to handle it ^^;;

The festival of carnal desires will begin
The festival of sexual desires will begin
The out of control sadistic festival
The rapid human flesh psycho horror
