GAMECUBE!!!!!! ^_^

I loooved the real-time battle system in Secret of Mana, that game rocked even though i could never make my golem do anything but sit around... I diddn't really care for CC too much walking around, the characters moved too slow. It took me about a week to beat the hydra in hydra marshes... Overall I thought that there wasn't enough plot it took forever to stuble across a new piece of plot anyway...

I'm willing to give CC a chance for the smallest possible connection it may have to Chrono Trigger. Yes, the characters move slowly (unless you set the O button to "walk"), but it's still fun I guess. The Hydra was fairly easy I thought... Effyis needs to smack Yunenisis again, I see. The characters are wonderful, the story is coming along very nicely keeping you involve the whole time instead of doing the CLASSIC "do all these objects and THEN we'll bring you back to the story and tell you more" type stories, and the battle system is very smooth. It is like reading a book or watching a great movie. And ABOVE all else, it is fun to play. That overrules pretty much anything you can say to me, personally. You let your hate for Square cloud your judgement, Yuj. And you let your opinion of what a RPG "should be" let you not have any fun with it. It really is fun to play. I've unlocked Roy!!!! I've unlocked Roy!!!! He puts Link to shame!!! Power and speed!!!!! ^_^ Now that's what I call a swordsman!!!! ^_^ Who knew about this little character from the game Fire Emblem released only in Japan!!!! Roy Rocks!!!! ^_^ I think I've just got a new number one fighter! ^_^ Lancelot would look like the kitchen boy next to Roy's awesome smash move!!! ^_^ hehehehe ^_^ Well, maybe not, considering that in the books, Lancelot would be able to defeat over 100 knights in one tournament. ^_^ hehehe ^_^ As for turn-based RPGs, it's all about what you like. My all-time favorite still remains Chrono Trigger. Incredible story, fighting system with multiple-characters combos, graphics for its time and likeable characters! ^_^ I still love the Frog the most...can't remember his name though... ^_^ I tried FF7 not long ago because I saw it on sale for 20$ or something. Boy, I regret it so much!!! It sucks and it's boring!!! I had more fun with American FF3... <img src="http://www.virtue.nu/quytam/alfred.jpg" border="0"> </a> ...living free under my own flag...

FF7 was a lot of fun on the first disc. But near the middle of the second disc it was starting to hurt my brain. CLOUD IS A CLONE OF SEPHIROTH BUT REALLY ISN'T!!!! I still liked it, though. I liked FF7. Sure, a lot of things seemed done sub-par (Square's little 'experiment'), but it was fun none the less. It had a great plot, even if it got odd towards the end (and the ending itself....ugh...). FF6 and FF4 remain the only other two FF's I've thorougly enjoyed. That is, excluding FFX...which I haven't beaten yet. And it's those reasons I don't like FFX. Because all the reasons I find that are good are related to graphics. There is nothing innovative or good about the battle system. (Well the smooth camera operation was good and not buggy). The characters were...I wont ever go there. Lets just say when I got sick of playing the game I got into a battle and tried to get them killed but the game has like "anti-suicidal frustration" protection or something so it was more work then it was worth getting all my characters killed. Maybe the game is too easy? The plot is nothing but unoriginal and formulaic, heck I could play through the game without even reading ANY dialogue and get the same amount out of it. Once you've played a FF game you've played them all from my point of view, at least in plot. So since graphics don't rule things for me it's a shame that FFX has so little to offer, well no it's not because Square is a crappy company and I diluded myself into thinking FFX might just be the revolutionary game Square needed to earn back my respect...but alas. Seymour? Ugh... that battle is insane. I haven't got there yet, but I watched my brother. He had to get TWO summons out in that fight... one (Shiva) against Anima, because Anima does insta-kill and Shiva is immune to that and the other (Ifrit) agaist Seymour at the end because Ifrit gets INSTANT OVERDRIVE :D Oh god that was an insane fight. <center><img src="http://bishydbd.netfirms.com/tenshi.jpg"> Is DBD a Bishounen? <a href="http://dbdlikeskawaii.netfirms.com/">YES</a>!</center>

Bahh, any game where I get bored and disgusted with it isn't a good game. A fun game doesn't make you bored. The only thing I enjoyed from FFX was the sound effects/graphics/animation. Very shallow reasons for liking a game...Probably why I got bored with it and how cliche it was and simply tried really hard to kill my characters, it seems you have to be an idiot to lose that game because it's ahrd to get your characters killed even when you DO try. Bahh and that really weak immunities system is really getting old in FF. Especially how it's either obvious or only discoverable through trial and error. At no point was the game a challenge and everything just was so boring. I just started playing Pikmin. It's tough. I hate the time limit so much! RGGGGGGrrrrr!!!!!!! I didn't even get my blue Pikmin yet -_- but I'm close.
