A while ago, I found this amusing site. One of these is the Atrai's E.T., which is partically funny...<br><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://www.omgjeremy.com/ETstreetfighter.html">www.omgjeremy.com/ETstreetfighter.html</a><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--><br>Nothing like the film, and just plain laughable in it's rubbishness. Imagine my mixed shock, surprise and and even horror when I noticed something while reading a GBA review of the "new" GameBoy Advance Game, E.T.<br>They talked about how it was meant to be based on the film, but not remembering ET going around in the film, collecting flowers and food. something struck me. It was the same as the Atrai game, but with smarted up graphics, and flowers/food instead of M&Ms! And probably generally improved and debugged....<br>This is extremely worrying that an Atrai game be ported over to a 32-bit consule! Don't ya think?<br>If I hear of any more of this, I think I'll go hid behind my sofa, till the nasty Atrai ports are all gone.... <p></p><i></i>

But today, isn't that day, and gaming has come far, though it might be because of consules like this, and its games, but by the sounds of it, not games like ET.... <p></p><i></i>

Well...as people who have them know, you can get all the Atari games on emulators. I have *looks around nervously* an Atari emulator, and 500+ roms (both of which I downloaded at once (2 separate files) from a site which may or may not still be around)...and they all fit into a file which is less than 5 Megs large. :P It's a nostalgia factor more than anything else, and people DO play the old games for the memories...why else would someone even bother to bring back stuff like this? Noone seriously expects these games to be setting any new trends, but you'd be surprised at how many people may actually buy them.<br><br>Ah ET, the nightmare game. I played it ON the Atari 2600 console itself...and on emulator. My favorites on the 2600 were Combat, Outlaw, Infiltrite, Asteroids, Yars Revenge, Warlords, Freeway (chickens crossing a road had a quirky kind of appeal, don't you think?), and Pitfall...Activision Tennis was fine once I figured how to beat it. Yeah people do play old games for the memories, but I am talking of games which may be blatent ports of games, even from the Atrai, as though they were new. If someone has played this GBA game, and the Atrai game, please tell us if they are as similar as they sound? <p></p><i></i>
