09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.
yes, but it should be the parents desion of what is acceptable for their children. I cant stand over protecive parents that form groups to ruin things they dont like. LIke ending video game viloence. Now im not sayign that i love it, but it does make games cool and waht not.

"Fear the crazy bunny powers."
(>'.')> A Wookie Straw! <('.'<)

Netty has a point there. theres really isnt any point to violence in games, but it fun and takes up time let alone taking out violence against something fake

You're Seymour. Now that I think of it...the ending of Zelda64 was very violent with the way Link finishes Ganondorf...

But let's face it. Zelda 64's violence is done in an imaginary world, with monsters and no human.

GTA3's violence is depicted in a world like ours. Not against elves, sheikahs, dodongoes or anything.

Captain, why did you bring a woman here??? These men have sworn to follow a vow of chastity like their fathers and forefathers did before them!

it doesn't matter how "close it is to real life" Violence is violence.

I disagree.

The setting of Zelda64 made it more justifiable to kill Ganondorf, since he would have turn the entire world into a chaos of darkness. It was a one-time deal. The odds were also in Ganondorf's favor with all his powers.

GTA3 puts you in a situation where the order is there and you're the one creating the chaos, unjustly. You beat up people. Steal cars, kill pedestrians, etc. The setting is not on your side. This violence is what you call free violence. GTA3 glorifies it even more for obviously the wrong reasons.

Captain, why did you bring a woman here??? Yes, you're the bad guy in GTA3. I think I'm still the same person after playing it.

DTM, do you want GTA3 taken off the market, censored, or what?

Me? ^_^ Not necessarily. I'm not playing the game so I don't care. But for the sake of not having the society becoming more tolerant of violence, it would be a good idea to remove it from the market.

People, especially young ones, are easy to impress and they tend to imitate a lot at that age. Just look at the crowd at sport matches. What do you see? Of course, when you're young, you don't know that.

I used to think Mortal Kombat was cool simply because it had blood. How dumb is that? Street Fighter Alpha 3 has no blood dripping, no fatalities and it's much more fun! Two fighters, and one outdoing the other without all the gores and blood, relying on gameplay instead.

Free excessive violence truly doesn't add anything.

Captain, why did you bring a woman here??? I used to like Mortal Kombat! but I never played street fighter before that.

Censorship is stupid!

in zelda 64 i agree with DTM your fighting for a worhty cause and most of the violence is self defense the game is based on a world where peace has been a delicacy

You're Seymour. I just bought GTA3 for the PC Sunday. I must say, it is excellent... except about my nvidia vanta... I'M GONNA BREAK IT WITH AN ALUMNIUM BAT! Well, I certainly thought it was... and on another note, should get Soldier of Fortune II if I ever find GTAIII no longer entertaining or if I search for something new?
____________________________________________
"Jungle warfare is a right, then, nasty business. How can you possibly say the GTA3 wasnt worth it??! The only complaint i have about the game is that the mission were a bit easy, nothing really challenging for the experienced gamers, but other that that it was almost perfect.
4 points for the perfect game.
1) Easy to play
2) Good storyline (not needed for sports games)
3) Variety (i.e. not just one mission afetr another with no choice what to do)
4)V.Difficult to completely master.

"Women are stupid, Men are stupider"
