Post subject:  STARCRAFT BROOD WAR HELP
I can't beat the last mission. It's called Omega, and you have to fight a Protoss and two Terran armies to win. Does anyone remember how they beat it? Well, to start off, build a ton of sunken colonies. You want a ton facing the red Terrans and the Protoss, you dont need as many facing the White Terrans. Build many spore colonies near the direction of the Protoss and White Terran, with less towards the Reds, but keep a detector near the Reds in case they send ghosts. Build many Hydras and some Lings to counterattack wherever the enemy is attacking, then pull them back and wait for the next attack. Build some Mutas to defend against SIege Tanks and Reavers.Id attack one of the Terrans first. The whites are strong in the air, so make a huge ground force, with many Hydras, to attack them. Also take Defilers and use Dark swarm to stop air attacks.You need some more air units to attack the reds, also take Overlords to spot cloak Wraiths (they get annoying). Attack the Protoss last, just use all your force to roll over them. Also, expand your base to other mineral fields and such. Always try to take out an enemy base in one attack, or your screwed. Hmmm...I'll try that. The Protoss are a nightmare. I've seen strategies that tell to take them down first, and I've been trying to do so before they research psionic storm and mind control...but I've only been marginally succesful.<br><br>How many drones do you build at your main base...or do you expand to as many resource areas as you can as fast as you can? Build a ton of drones, first to harvest, then to build all the colonies. And yes, the Protoss are the toughest, that is why I like to finish them last. And always make sure your starting base is really secure form all attack directions before expanding, I assume you know where the minerals and junk are. Do you wait until you are secure first before attacking? Well, I personally make sure my first base is very secure before I expand or attack, because if you expand too quickly you just have more territory to defend, and your main base wont be heavily defended. Thanks for your help LG.<br><br>Actually, last night Neelick gave me a really helpful piece of advice. You likely already know this, but believe it or not, I didn't. It was the move and attack command, where you highlight a group, select the ground (not a target), and they use their own limited AI to fight enemies along the way and select targets themselves rather than being dumb, waiting for your command, and dying fast at the hands of untargeted foes. That was the most helpful advice I've received thus far. I finally wiped out the White group. ^_^ Now...for the red. The Reds are tough, they can defend against almost anything. VICTORY!!!!!<br><br>Neelick's help was most useful, and yours helped too LG, so thanks to you both. ^_^<br><br>After defeating the Terrans, I decided to try something else, poor Zerg player that I am. Sooo, I did the ridiculous but effective strategy of beseiging the Protoss. I had enough resources (barely)...but it was effective. Basically I ringed their main base with spore and sunken colonies...alternating spore/sunken, and making them en masse where required. That done, I selectively attacked with a limited number of guardians. The turning point in the seige came when I lined spore and sunken colonies on their northern wall. That put the sunken colonies almost within range of their three Stargates, so I could attack them (using guardians) almost without fear of any ground attacks by oh, templars. Once the Stargates were gone, they couldn't produce air units, and so it was only a matter of time. Anyway, YEAHA!!! Good job! Ive never done that tactic before, but Im not a good Zerg player.
