I just got a 80 mb XS preview off of Direct Connect....and....WOW. THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE AMAZING.<br><br>Anyone who says it has no real connection to Xenogears is full of crap, too! The preview had Shion and KOS-MOS of course, and Zohar as well....but there was pictures of people who seemed ALL too familiar...<br><br>Mostly a blue-eyed red-haired girl with a few strands sticking up in the back (HUGS HER)....a katana-carrying black-haired man-with-glasses (and when he struck, it had elements! A Very hard thing for anyone British, is that suggestion. It never reached the UK. Of course, I can play the game, using my Boot Disc (I still need a Gamecube one though...), but finding it might prove difficult, and such games, on account of never reaching here, are dead expensive, even though they are old. Though, I do plan to get this game eventurally. I wonder if this "Prequel", as I hear it is, will reach the UK this time? Has happenned with Square games before (it is a square game, right?).<br>I don't think any FF games got as far as the UK until FF7, though the earlier games are arriving slowly (better late than never?), Parasite Eve 2 was released here, even though PE1 is only advaiable on Import (I have this one! YAY!).<br>Though Xenogears is on my list of games that sound like a good buy. Though, I have enough RPGs to last me through my three years at Oxford, so I think I will not try for many more RPGs till I've finished some of them... <p></p><i></i>

Xenogears is a Square Game...couldn't you get it off of E-bay, though? That's how I got mine, though the shipping might be killer for the UK...<br><br>Actually, though, Xenosaga is a Namco game. Most of the staff that made Xenogears left and just sort of collected over at Monolith Soft and Namco. It's still going to be a great game, though technically it shouldn't be thought of as a prequel to Xenogears. They're essentially remaking the entire Xenogears storyline into 6 games (Yes, Xenogears' storyline is THAT expansive). It's sort of more like "Xenogears v. 2.0." it won't come out until 2006, and it might not be much like xenogears at all, we don't know yet. I suggest getting xenogears now, though. <p></p><i></i>

Yeah. It'll pretty much be two different games.
