nvidia isnt the only one that is suffering. That news article is terrible because it makes it sound like microsoft is making nvidia pay for everything and they arnt. nvidia is taking part of it, but microsoft is also switching hardware manufactors and such to help loewr the price. Microsoft would not be in this situation if they had some actual killer apps...just another damn football game is all that seems to come out! <br><br>If you ask me i dont think xbox nor nintendo have any really killer apps, i mean each has a couple but nothing major. I look at ps2 and i see quite a few games that i would like but i hate sony more then anything=P <p></p><i></i>

Yes, the Doom]|[ thingy I saw at QCon was on ATI :) The 9700 owns! :) But, personally, I'm pretty dissapointed with Doom]|[--it's not as good looking as it was made out to be; it's nice, but not THE revolutionary game graphics-wise.<br><br>And UT2k3 sucks. Yeah I know, I've seen lots of screenshots from DOOM 3 and well...I'm indifferent to it. ^_^ Maybe I need to really sit down and play the thing to see it in action by myself... ^_^<br><br>I'm guessing that the hardware is there, but they need to catch up with it first... The few games after Doom 3 should be able to better tap into all that power. ^_^<br><br>Still... I'm impatient to see what ATI will bring out to counter nVidia by Christmas. ^_^ Probably a souped up version of the 9700! DDR-II anyone? ^_^ <p></p><i></i>

I saw the demo of Doom 3 on TV today! ^_^ It's not bad while in motion on a big screen! ^_^ There was this huge bulldog-like creature that was eating a dead zombie or something... Pretty gross. ^_^<br><br>I do have to give them the high polygon count! Those creatures were smooth! I didn't see too many polygon edges or blocks on them...<br><br><br><br> <p></p><i></i>
