Anyone got this for either Xbox or PS2?

The graphics seem pretty good and close to the naime, but what about gameplay?

Is it fun? I'm thinking about getting it for GCN, but there's no reviews from big sites yet and I'm afraid the small reviews come from biased fans...

'Tis good. Though the flight model could use a little work. It's still fairly unrestrictive compared to most flying console games.

If you are going by graphics/gameplay/sound the PS2 version is a waste of money, seriously.

The control scheme for the PS2 version not only makes the game harder but more annoying and stifling. I hate to say even the XBox controller works better with this game. (I never EVER thought I would be saying that).

In terms of sound, the sound quality for the PS2 version also seems lower...I have no idea but the voice quality is notedly of lower quality as the music and sound effects as well.

It's a gorgeous looking game on the XBox/GameCube but the PS2 version looks, well, less impressive. Texture and lighting quality is half of what the XBox/GameCube version is.

There is a reason why they only have screenshots from the XBox/GameCube version. Infact the back of the PS2 has screenshots from the GameCube version. I don't know what to really say about that.

It's a good game if you like Robotech. If you are a Macross purist you wont like it. But for me (having grown up on Robotech) it was a huge and VERY enjoyable nolstalgic trip!

The voice acting is impressive because they actually got the original voice actors rather than cheap sound-alikes. Regardless what you think of anime dubs, games tend to be plagued with WORSE voice-acting. So it was nice that they used the original dubbed voices.
INTEL INSIDE
It's not a marketing gimick, it's a warning label.
