I have a question to ask. I only have Playstation 1 because I just got into gaming recently and I'm trying to catch up on all the old RPGs before I buy a Playstation 2, and whenever I try to put Disk 3 of Final Fantasy Eight in the drive, I hear a clicking sound and it doesn't load the game. It still plays some disks, but not all. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? |

You can probably find a guide online, but something that usually helps is opening it up and cleaning the disklens with a q-tip and alcohol. |

Ive had this happen to me what happened to me is the spindle hub had a piece snap off so it puts the cd off when it spun. I just found the little plastic piece and glued it back on. Look at the spindle hub and see if theres any pieces missing off it the hub is the center thing where u place the center of the cd on too. |

I've always found that Sony uses super cheap parts when making their systems. Like the PS and PS2. I've found when this happens, to remove the disc and make sure when you put it in again, that it firmly snaps into place. But the PS and PS2 are definately the most touchy pieces of equipment I've ever worked with. Maybe you can borrow a different person's disc to finish the game? |

I did what DBD said to do and now it's working again. I'm not sure for how long, but at least for now I can still play the game, which is good because there's another whole disk after the one I'm on. |
