Personally, I think it's going to be awesome.

I mean, if you had told me 4 years ago that the next nintendo system would involve the word "WEEEE!!" and vibrating dildo controllers, I'd have thought you were insane.

Now, it's a reality!

As long as I get the same quality Nintendo games, I don't care what they call their system.

Sure Revolution sounds cooler, but bitching about it won't solve anything now.

I like the name wii. Also I though the revolution was always a codename for development, like the dolphin was for the gamecube (IMO gamecube is a much worse name than wii) or, as Neelick said, Windows Longhorn was for Windows Vista.

The problems isn't just the new name, it's we've accepted the old name.

When the GameCube was the Dolphin, we knew nothing about it. Nothing Solid. I think it was renamed, the moment we actually saw what it would be.

However, we've seen it too often as the Revolution.

We've seen what it looks like.
We've seen what the controller looks like.
We've seen screen shots of its first games.
We've seen some of their marketing videos.

All with it called "Revolution".

It doesn't matter what the final name will be. For many, it will still always be the "Nintendo Revoltion", as that's what we "always" known it as.

*claps for Kagato* Brilliant. I like the name Wii. Its reasons are brilliant...however I missed E3... did anyone go? I couldn't see the show. I was working for my grandma.... anyways did they say that the new Legend of Zelda will be out for the Wii or gamecube?

This is not a good move on Nintendo's part. It could affect sales of the new console in a very real way. I mean, how many people voted for Bush (or Clinton, for that matter) solely based on their physical appearance? Old fan of Nintendo will probably continue to buy, but how do they plan to attract new ones? Which would you rather have, a Wii or an XBOX 300?

And, on a perfectly personal note, Dolphin is a better name than Wii. Of course almost anything would be.

U see I didn't know that about the controller... but they did improve the graphic card. I mean Araq u saw the Super Mario Brawl video. It's going to be the best system that the gaming world has ever seen.
