Okay, so in my recent Electronic Gaming Monthly, one of the founders of Flowers for Jack Thompson (btw, for those who don't know, Jack Thompson is a lawyer on a campagin to ban ALL video games forever) wrote in about the response they got from Jack, and I quote:
"Alyson [Burch] and I founded the project with the idea of approaching Jack Thompson with a respectful, lighthearted gesture. This was at the height of his personal culture war against gamers themselves, and he was receiving death threats and prank calls at his home and office. As much as we despised the man, we couldn't stand the actions of childish idiot gamers that were fanning the flames of his senility.
We sent nine massive flower arrangements worth $500 alongside a seven page letter. We made a point of being straightforward and honest.We told him we didn't like him but said we'd approach it with dignity. In return he called us terrorists and said that we were employed by Take Two Interactive to harass him. He personally confirmed to me that he threw out our letter without a glance because we were teenagers who play videogames. Flowers for Jack was in no way "mock condolence." We wanted a humane exchange with the man to break down the stereotypes on both sides. He just happened to make an ass out of himself."- George Ettinger
There is really nothing I can say that sums up Jack's character that is shown in this letter, but I do have some choice words for the man, which I will not say here...

He's a dick, get used to it, as the world is full of them.
But what I find most insulting about him, is the fact he seems to claim God is on his side, when he seems to preach nothing but hate. Being a devote Christian myself, I find closed minded people like him disgusting. They give the rest of us a bad name.

But yeah, about the letter. He was probably lying about not reading it due to the senders, it was the thought of having to read a 7 page letter. Though, that is quite long for a straightforward letter I must admit. I can do it in a few lines.

"Dear Mr Thompson.
You are acting like a Dick.
Please shut up, sit down, and stop being a dick.
Then maybe people will stop hating you. (Though remember to give people time)
Now sit in the Corner and think about what you have done.

Lol. You know, they now sell " I hate Jack Thompson" t-shirts...

They've sold them for months, I believe....

Though truthfully, the best thing we can do is ignore him....

Definately agree with you on that one K-TEG. It's a little...harsh.

Personally, I think Mr. Thompson complains about video games so much because he got thrashed at pong when he was a small child. Or raped with an NES controller. One of the two.
