Anybody else excited for Final Fantasy 13 out there? I'm a huge FF fan and this game looks like its actually going to be really good

I'm very excited for it, not so glad that I have to wait until 2010 to get my hands on the American version though. Have you looked into FF13 Versus? That's supposed to be good as well, although it doesn't seem to have as much hype O_o. I provided a link just in case you have not heard of it yet, Ryoko post is on its way! Right after lunch ^_^

Oh trust me, I've been watching the both of them for a long time, however I instantly lost interest in versus 13 when I heard the type of gameplay they were using for it, I'm a hardcore Final Fantasy fan, if its not ATB and Turn based, then its not Final Fantasy, thats why I dropped off after 10, anyway, when I saw gameplay footage of 13, I was beyond excited, FINALLY were getting a great looking game that is going to feel like Final Fantasy again, slightly modified combo and summon mechanics with a hint of FF8 in there for spells, sounds great, Then I Saw the promo for versus 13, and thought wow this looks so BA, heard it was going to play like Dirge of Cerberus, aka a 3rd person shooter hack n slash, and instantly lost interest, maybe its just me, but I could never get into that aspect with RPG's, April 2010 for 13, heyo!

Oh wow, I hadn't heard the type of gameplay that versus was going to have... I really didn't care for dirge of cerberus, If I want to play a third person shooter, I'll pick up something better than that lol. As for thirteen I'm stoked for it, I couldn't get in to twelve, the gambit system was so exploitable and ridiculous. You spend 90% of the game watching a progress bar move across the screen before any action happens, I loved ten though, the classic turn based feeling was fantastic. I just wish we were getting it sooner >_>, the Japanese get all the good stuff first.

At least we don't live in Europe, they get EVERYTHING last, lol I liked 10 but my favorite of all time is 9, with 7 in second place, but yea versus 13 seemed so BA almost better then 13, then boom, Dirge of Cerberus gameplay T_T

im so excited for it! the only reason i dont even have a ps3 yet because its not out yet.

The only thing I'm wondering about the combo system is, how its going to work against strong bosses IE (Attack, Thunder, Attack defense, *boss hits you for half your health,......attack FFFFFFFFF), but then again, you can only stack so many attacks as you level, IE you can only stack like 3 attacks in the beginning of the game or something like that

well it will be interesting. i just hope the fighting system doesn't rely on too much AI where ur party members are concerned.

The fighting system reminds me alot of FFVIII, with the whole ATB points and such
