Well, now that it's done and over with I'll tell you what I was so down about for the new year.<br><br>January 3, 2003 I burried my uncle. He was 44. Dads baby brother. Was in the USAF as an MP, and quit. Conflict of interest. Boozer and drug user. Then tried to make it as a hair stylist. Then tried to make it as a AIDS awarness dude, dealing with the home-less. He was on and off the recovery wagon so many times, the called him Relapse Ray. Blew out his pancrease, and had diabetes. Had to take insulin shots. Didn't take care of himself. Got all kinds of complications. Kidnees started to fail. Got an infection. Inveted him over for Christmas Eve family get together. Said he felt sick and couldn't make it. December 30th no one of our family had had any contact with him. Paternal aunt sent my uncle to check on uncle relapse at his pad. No answer. Called my dad. They called 911. Fire figheters broke in. Found his life-less body watching TV. Cocain and alcohol were on the scene. Corenor was called. Had to mail the results to us via certified mail. Didn't look like suicide. Not sure it was OD. Could have died of natural causes like an infection or kidnee failure. Just got high before he died.<br>It all started with alcohol and pot when he was twelve. Was married and divorced in the same year a while back. Sorry to hear about your uncle, Chevy.<br><br>Regardless of who it is, it always hits harder when it's in the family. May he rest in peace. Since, I lean towards Buddhism, I hope for your uncle to be reincarnated in a better life, away from his old demons and problems. <p></p><i></i>

My condolences chevy. It sure sounds like he had a tough life, and there's a lot to be learned from what happened to him. Well, what can I say. I got misty eyed when the color guard folded his flag and they played taps. Kind of disapointed that there was not a real bugler to play taps. Played a recording of it on a lil' boom box. No twenty one gun salute. :: Sigh ::<br>Almost done cleaning out his appartment. Found $200 cash.
