09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.
Horsepower Calculator It's pretty accurate. Well, for rear wheel drivers. I don't know for front. I think it's way off for AWD cars.

"Hashiriya are lonely drivers so, we do not need girlfriends."

Post your power level! Mine is 320 Rear Wheel Horse Power. Damn this high altitude. I bet I could run low twelves at Houston Raceway Park.

"Hashiriya are lonely drivers so, we do not need girlfriends."

345 hp on rear wheels, looks like I might have you beat Chevy, cept for my damn gay-o-matic transmission.

"I'm the greatest, and I can't possibly be beat!- Cassius Clay aka Muhammed Ali

"I am become death, the destroyer of worlds"- Robert Oppenheimer

Damn you are a different LG Motorsports all by your self. OMG, one man gang! Mad props. Are you close to sea level? I'm at 4500 feet above sea level. Air's a lil' thin up here. Hard to make HP. I can't wait for the SLP day in Ennis, TX. I hope it's a lot lower than here. Then maybe HRP in Houston, TX. It's 2 feet below sea level there. I here stock LS1's pull 12's out there.

"Hashiriya are lonely drivers so, we do not need girlfriends."

Yeah, Im a bit closer to sea level, since I live in Indiana. Probably only 100 feet, 250 at the most. I cant do much racin or anything right now cuz we have a little thing up here called winter. It kinda makes it tough to race, and it wreaks havoc on engines at times. It's still weird that my car is pullin more hp, cuz it's only a '90 Trans Am, and your Camaro is newer, but I guess the elevation could be the difference. My car isnt really souped up that much, the engine (5.7L-350) has just been very well cared for (the guy I bought it from was a pro mechanic, very good).

"I'm the greatest, and I can't possibly be beat!- Cassius Clay aka Muhammed Ali

"I am become death, the destroyer of worlds"- Robert Oppenheimer

My car club is going to Ennis which is right near Dallas. It's 500 Ft. above sea level. I'm scared to launch at 5,000 RPM there since I'd be making way more power. My friend in Houston says he saw three LS1's try that out at HRP and they broke there rear ends one right after another. So, it obviously wasn't a one car fluke. I think if I buy a rear end girdle and tube reinforcement kit it will take at least three or four good launches. The kit's only $153. Cheap insurance.

By the way, my friends at the hashiriya web site say that trap speed is a better indicator of rear wheel horse power. So that puts me at 330 R.W.H.P. ~_^

Sorry you got winter.

"Hashiriya are lonely drivers so, we do not need girlfriends."

Edited by: chevybrain at: 1/12/03 1:12:57 am

Well, good luck there. Tell me how much difference the change in elevation makes, Im interested to see how much of a difference it really makes.

"I'm the greatest, and I can't possibly be beat!- Cassius Clay aka Muhammed Ali

"I am become death, the destroyer of worlds"- Robert Oppenheimer
