09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.

This week's New Musical Express lists the magazine's writers' Top 100 Albums of All Time.

And they reckon that The Stone Roses' debut is the greatest (despite giving it only a 7 out of 10 in its innitial review). Pfft.
They also place 'Is This It' by The Strokes 45 places ABOVE 'Exile on Main Street' by The Rolling Stones. And The Streets and tHe Vines are included.

They also claim that The Who never ever made a great album(!!!).

So, my question is this, what is YOUR favourite album of all time?

Mine is by another band who - despite being one of the most influential bands of the past decade or so - had neither of their great albums in the list.
'Weezer' (or 'The Blue Album'), by Weezer, is my single favourite album of all time. For many reasons. But mainly just because every track on it is a classic, a sheer joy to the ears. I've never listened to that album and not felt lifted emotionally - and I've had a lot of good times to its tunes too. It's about as close to being the perfect record, for me, as we're likely to see for a good long while.

So what rocks your boat?
---------------------
The internet is filled with many strange things...

"Holy Quest, Tacos, it's all good."
Edited by: El Uno Jigglioso at: 3/7/03 2:59:03 am

Ummm..
the Guitar Freaks 7th/Drummania 6th Soundtrack is pretty rockin'.^_^;;;

CONCERTINO IN BLUE is sweet...

Other then that I don't really buy soundtracks-I like music of most types, especially rock and progressive, but mp3s work fine for me and hell if I know who wrote the songs or what their album names are!

Huey Lewis and the News is nice...and Billy Joel...though I just listen to their "Best of" Soundtracks my dad leaves sitting around.^_^;;;
_____________
"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything."

-Mark Twain

VH-1 sent me this.
100 Greatest Albums of Rock and Roll (Hour 1)
You stared at the cover art, pored over the liner notes, and spun the discs so many times they had to be replaced. They're albums you never get sick of, and the last 50 years of music have produced plenty of 'em. Only 100 essentials make the final cut of "VH1's 100 Greatest Albums of Rock 'N' Roll," a special featuring archival clips and new exclusive interviews. Ballots were sent to over 400 artists, songwriters and music critics around the world asking to pick their top 50 albums from an extensive nominee list. VH1 has tabulated the ballots and ranked the albums from #100 to #1.
Airs at 6:00 PM
The List?
