Why is it, when people dont like something, they must not only put down those that do, but also make comments on things they dont like like they know them totally. LP does have tallent. I hate yaoi, but you dont see me bashing it everytime someone mentions it. LP did have the number 1 selling album of the year, so they gotsta have some talent. And their songs are pretty catchy. And I don't think Weezer fans should be puttin down Linkin Park. I mean, come on.

Weezer and Linkin Park. One band has, over the past couple of years, posted over 4 album's worth of original demos on their website for fans to download and comment on (every track from last year's album had been on the site in various stages in development). One group invited music journalists to attend a "listening session" for their remix album, in order for them to review it. Y'see, they were terrified that if they send out demo copies, then these nasty journalists might start distributing piracies. One band cares about the music. One group wants the money. LP's stuff was okay at first. However, I have two points to make about them. All their stuff now sounds the same... a guy on a radio stations once said, 'he (I don't remember which member he was talking about) sits down and writes the music note by note" he said thats what the dude said about himself too. Well, I'd like to put out there, the song that played after he said that sounded nearly identical to two other LP songs I've heard. So he works hard on his music, I think not, he takes old songs and rearranges them slightly. Second point is this dumb have vocal half rap crap that has been going on recently. That 'bring me back to life' song from Dare Devil, I heard that origionally it didn't have the dumb rapper, why the hell is he in there, I hadn't known before, but I told some people that he ruined the whole song. There are a couple of bands that pull it off and sound okay, but the rest just sond lame-ass. LOL XD LP's frist album sounded almost completely the same on ever song. But so have a lot of other bands. Look at George Thurogood. All his songs (that are original) are all three chord songs. All of em differ only slightly from each other. He coverd you talk to much and One Scotch, One Burbon, On beer. Don't even get me started on how much KISS sucks. And people eat them up. These bands are all bout marketability. Heh, I went to see a pretty new band, The Wandering Step, the other night (it was their first ever gig in Scotland!), and as mucgh as I love their funky old-school rock n' roll vibe, I honestly thought that they'd just changed the key of one of their songs when I heard the intro to one I hadn't heard before... Well, me and the other guy that was there to see them enjoyed half the set anyway. And besides, the band's in its early days (they've only released one 500-copy vinyl-only single so far) and they've got plenty of time to improve. As for marketing a band on a small number of songs, I'm going to see this band called 'Focus' in May. They're a Scandanavian instrumental band from the 70s. They're only known for two songs. In fact, the poster advertising the gig even lists them, saying "FOCUS ("Hocus Pocus" and "Sylvia") live at the Barfly, 16th May. Â£6"... O.O!!! I LOOOOVE Hocus Pocus by Focus!!! I learned how to play it on guitar. ^_^ ... not all the soloistic parts though, just the main stuff then some more simplistic stuff during the solos. XD Its a cover song of... dang it I can't remember the name. Crud. ~_~ I downloaded the origional version and its hiding somewhere on an unlabled disk. well...i have a complaints about weezer EUJ, only that i wish each cd was longer than like...30 min. Much much to short if you ask me =b I like linkin park too, so bla to you. Im pretty sure this isnt an opinion-free zone.
