Anime...for kids? Hmm, I doubt a kid would sit through something like Ai Yori Aoshi though. Hurrah for sappy anime, though not as sappy as Onegai Teacher I suppose. Someone in my school went to Japan as an exchange student last year. He is a senior(juinor then) and loves anime and the Japenesse didn't care. Well SSN for the most part you are right... Right out of your mind that is. While many anime (note:most aired on US t.v.) is geared towards children. (I.e. Sailor Moon, Beyblade, Pokemon...) There are many many anime shows that are specifically targeted at older human-types. Take for instance Cowboy Bebop, it only had a run of 7 episodes in Japan because it was deemed too adult. In fact if anime was just for little kiddies then why would organizations like Cartoon Network go to all the trouble of editing out all the nudity, cigarettes, and blood in many of their shows? Saying that anime is for kiddies is comparable to saying all american movies are for kiddies on the basis that many movies are aimed at "family" audiences.
