An 'I'-slot is basically an identity in which you describe yourself or how other people describe you. For instance, I am white/female/of property/middle class. These are my conferred identities (I can't change them because society has them clearly defined), while anime fan/art student are chosen identities (the ones I choose myself). The essay I'm about to try and draft out within the next hour or so is about the big picture, how my identity or 'I'-slot fits within society. <br><br>Pretty much, SSN fit anime fans into the identity of being 'childish' which is an incorrect and un-researched statement. ItÂ’s like taking a group of cat lovers and telling them they must be mentally unstable. The essay is going to go through what other people think of my identity as an art student/anime fan as well as my own views and opinion.
