Hey, I wouldn't call it just a Western thing (not just American, as they've scored number ones in the UK, Germany, France, most of Europe in fact), based on the reaction of these 200 Russian fans...

The scary thing is, I actually kinda like that song 'Nas Ne Dogonjat'... It's weird and catchy... but it's pure manufactured pop... I feel dirty... *twitches*
---------------------
PEACE AND CAKE!

"Who are these skinny European assholes with their anti-war T-shirts singing about S&M?" - Sune Rose Wagner, of The Raveonettes, on American reaction to their early gigs
|

Definetly not just a Western thing--I heard it before, but I wasn't sure, but Tatu are in the Eurovision Song Contest for Russia. That probably means that Tatu are liked by a rather large number of Russians :)
And if you don't know the Eurovision Song Contest, then you need to get in touch with your inner European.

torneherren speiles i ødelagt liv mens
sorgengler regner fra
oven til kosmos’ endeløse tidsrom skjenker vi
den siste død

|

Nononono...

The Eurovision Song Contest doesn't exist - it's just a bad dream we all have annually...

...

...

Tehehe... Norway, nil point.

That's the annual nightmare the people of Norway have...
---------------------
PEACE AND CAKE!

"Who are these skinny European assholes with their anti-war T-shirts singing about S&M?" - Sune Rose Wagner, of The Raveonettes, on American reaction to their early gigs
|

Firstly, Tatu is bisexual, not lesbian.

Second, actually, the Russians and the Columbians are the most savage of all mafias, the Japanese don't even compare.

Thirdly, contrary to the impression that you would get from watching the last few episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho that CN just ran, the Yakuza do not control the the world... the American and European banking cartels do. Japanese banks may have power in Asia (enough power that a few crashing banks was largely responsible for the recession), but let's face the facts; the far east would not have an economy if it weren't for American and European interests--this is especially true for Japan.

Fourthly, the rule of thumb when doing business with Yakuza is: don't! I don't think it's necessary to cut ties with the guy altogether, but don't stick your nose in his business either. Sticking your nose in other people's business is the quickest way to get your nose cut off, which you don't want... actually they usually cut off fingers, but only when you've disobeyed them or failed a job they give you. The best policy is to simply not bring it up at all. And also, on the off chance that something does go wrong, helping him hide is the best way to get yourself in the line of fire, and it is naturally every bit as effective as when Arthur Dent took to lying down in front of a bulldozer--basically, acts of extraordinary cleverness and cunning will only get you as far as the pub before you're screwed, so you best not plan on doing anything like that unless the whole planet is going to be destroyed that same morning anyhow. Basically, just tell him "you made your bed and you must lie in it".

Fifthly, the Yakuza don't normally bother non-yakuza unless you bother them first... like when you're hiding someone or something that belongs to them.

Did that help any?

|

Personally, Id learn where the Yakuza HQ is from the guy, then run in with a gun blazing. If I succeded, Id get paid so much money from different governments that Id retire, and the Yakuza would never touch me, if I kill all their leaders. But this idea is due to the fact that I am: A) Crazy and B)Not afraid to die.

"I'm the greatest, and I can't possibly be beat!- Cassius Clay aka Muhammed Ali

"I am become death, the destroyer of worlds"- Robert Oppenheimer

|
