I'm currently interested in buying a PDA, but i dont know what's good and whats not, and also pondering about the practicibility (if theres such a word) of having a PDA. PDA's are quite practical for those professionals on the go, for whom a laptop would be a bit bulky and confining (the group for which they were created), but there is a new group of individuals who wish to have massive computing power in the palm of their hand. <br><br>As for selecting one, it all depends on what you're looking for. Do you want all-out power, impressive multimedia capability, a budget PDA, or a combo PDA-cell phone? The first two criteria can be answered by the $800 Sony Clie PEG-NZ90 and the $700 Hewlett Packard iPAQ h5455 Pocket PC. Both offer fast processors for impressive mp3/avi viewing, come packed with useful apps, and are both Wi-Fi enabled with built-in Bluetooth and 802.11b wireless internet cards; the Sony runs Palm OS 5.0, while the HP runs Windows Pocket PC 2002. These are the top of the line PDAs, and thus command a high price. If you don't really want to spend that much, then I recommend the Palm Tungsten T and C models, or one of the lower echelon Sony Clie's or HP iPAQ's. A really nice budget PDA is the $300 Palm Zire 71, which comes with well-rounded multimedia capabilities and software, as well as a built in digital camera, but is not Wi-Fi ready. As for PDA phones, I recommend either the $500 Kyocera 7135, the $550 Palm Tungsten W, or the $300 Audiovox Thera Pocket PC phone. These are just my own recommendations, you may want to do some research on your own to find specifically what is right for you. nah its ok. i think i'll postpone my PDA shopping till later cuz i think i wont have too much use for it afterall.
