Well, thank god that goth is in there now... Well, as some of you may or may not know, Websters has added 10,000 new words to it's dictionary. Why add "dog's breakfast" when "dog's dinner" is now far more common?

"dog's breakfast" when "dog's dinner" Not in the know. What does that mean? "oy"? what does that mean? I thought that was ancient yidish. The phrase basically means a mess, Chev. I thin that site gives a deffinition far better than I could. And I believe "Oy" to be like a sigh, isn't it?

Over here in the North East of England "oy" is used as "hey" like the Japanese use "Oi".

Wow, that's pretty interesting. ^.^ I thought Goth was already a word in the dictionary, though? GR, you are correct. In the Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary, it does mention Goth. This is of course the name of an ancient germanic tribe which inhabited the shores of the Baltic. 2. is a "barbarian; an uncouth, uncivilized person" But what the new version probably means is the neo-mod movement that occured in the early to mid 90's. I can't say that I was ever a "goth" but I enjoy the music from time to time. And goth clubs have cool people. Went to one 2 weeks ago. Btw, you sure were active tonight GR. The Goths in my school are poseurs that listen to shite nu-metal and only watch Hellsing, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. There doesn't seem to be much variety between them. :) <div style="text-align:center">blut krieg sieg</div>

I can remember using the word goth to describe people when I was in HS. That was the late 80's. They really haven't changed much except for the type of music they favor. It was all Siouxie and The Banshees, The Cure, Bauhaus, etc. Yes, GR- the part of the country you live in is particularly dense with icky preppy types (and even worse- lots of hippies).
