Why add "dog's breakfast" when "dog's dinner" is now far more common?

Wow, that's pretty interesting. ^.^ I thought Goth was already a word in the dictionary, though? Not for the way goth is meant now, but for its original meaning?

<border=3 cellpadding=5 cellspacing=3>

<img src="http://www.dimensionalstars.com/anthynutenasig.jpg" border="0" alt="Stand rigid for the next battlePeace means reloading your gunsThe love for life is all hatred in disguiseA carnival creation with masks undone"

The apparition of two faces in disgust
Invisible, but yet so clear
Reflections seen by a fugitive
Trying to escape the looking glass
Blood runs from open wounds of false flesh
The one in front of the mirror exceeds the image
Eager to leave further, but chained still

To crumble into such nothingness
A despairing fate, for your lies
To pretend is the lunatic's legacy
Privileged to bolt the nails of heresy

Born lifeless into a world of coma
As the chronic sufferer trapped in paradise lost
Missing insinuations of what life was meant to be
Angels and demons, a march man's bewildering hosts

GR, you are correct. In the Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary, it does mention Goth. This is of course the name of an ancient germanic tribe which inhabited the shores of the Baltic. 2. is a "barbarian; an uncouth, uncivilized person"

But what the new version probably means is the neo-mod movement that occured in the early to mid 90's. I can't say that I was ever a "goth" but I enjoy the music from time to time. And goth clubs have cool people. Went to one 2 weeks ago.

Btw, you sure were active tonight GR. Perhaps *I* should be stalking *you*.
*Under Construction*

Early 80's I belive it came from punk. Some of the most unteresting people in my school are or are associated with Goths.

I am the one.

I am Tsunami's apprentice.

I am one of the few

able to produce

10 Light Hawk Wings!!

The Goths in my school are poseurs that listen to shite nu-metal and only watch Hellsing, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. There doesn't seem to be much variety between them. :)

blut krieg sieg

I can remember using the word goth to describe people when I was in HS. That was the late 80's. They really haven't changed much except for the type of music they favor. It was all Siouxie and The Banshees, The Cure, Bauhaus, etc.
Yes, GR- the part of the country you live in is particularly dense with icky preppy types (and even worse- lots of hippies).
