No children, I am not here to start posting again. I am not staying any longer than it would take to post this. Stop your cheering. This is important. Make whatever of this you want, but be warned, it is VERY real. Let's review. Shortly after 9-11, the "Patriot" act was drafted. This act allowed the United States government to Question you with out your lawyer present, and to bug and SEARCH your home with out a warrent. Which drastically goes AGAINST the 5th admendment, and angered me substancially. But people felt it was justified....... well, two years later, they are making a second, much WORSE act. I am going to show you the topic, from which it was spawned. The following contains material that will make Conservitives commit seppuku. -------------------------- Topic Title: Patriot Act 2 rapes you in the ass. Author: Kyubi Kitsune Here are some hi-lights from it for those of you who are uninformed..... The proposed law would radically expand law enforcement and intelligence gathering authority; reduce or eliminate judicial oversight over certain surveillance; authorize secret arrests, detentions, and grand jury subpoenas; create a DNA database of individuals who are suspected of association with terrorism or terrorist groups; create new death penalty provisions; and empower the government to remove American citizenship from persons who belong to or support disfavored political groups. Names new death penalty crimes. The proposed law would provide for imposition of the death penalty for certain terrorism-related crimes. Grants right to autopsy. The proposed act would give federal officials power to order an autopsy without permission during a federal criminal investigation if the death occurred from terrorist attack or "other deadly crimes. Decreases access to public information. The proposed act would restrict public Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) access to public information about those detained during terrorism investigations. It would restrict available public information about potential pollution by private chemical businesses, curtailing environmental and local government oversight. The proposed act would also prohibit disclosure of information by witnesses and others subpoenaed in terrorism cases, transforming these investigations from public to secret. Alters procedure for taking away U.S. citizenship. The proposed act would allow the government to strip a citizen of his or her citizenship by government inference of intent to relinquish citizenship, inference rising from behavior including fighting with a hostile foreign government or terrorist organization, or even engaging in lawful activities of a group designated as a "terrorist organization" by the Attorney General. Allows extradition without treaty and expanded deportation. The proposed act would permit extradition of individuals to countries with whom the U.S. has no extradition treaty. It would permit deportation to any location deemed acceptable by the Attorney General if deportation to the country of origin is "impracticable, inadvisable, or impossible," even if the destination's government is not recognized by the U.S. or it has no government at all. The proposed act is laced with interactions between federal law enforcement activities and foreign intelligence activities. It would further intermingle traditionally separated federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. The proposed act completely by-passes the Homeland Security Department, new home to the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and numerous crime and foreign intelligence operations. In addition, the provisions of this proposed act would represent a fundamental change from the Constitutional framework of separation of powers of the branches of government, to delegating power to the Administration without oversight or accountability. It would further decrease information about government functions to the public. The proposed act would remove numerous protective walls between government agencies, erected by statute and regulation to correct past abuses. Being a bit flustered, I'll try to keep my thoughts orderly: Why is that happening NOW? The terrorist attack on WTC happened two years ago, and the war against Iraq is over, with the exception of clean up (which, ironically, is taking longer than the actual war did due to religious ass ticks). So why now is this happening? We're being raped. This is exactly what we were trying to get away from when America was founded. This is EXACTLY what we were trying to get away from. Where is the protection from Tyranny? Where is the freedom to believe what we want, to speak freely without retaliation? Whoever wrote this peice of trash should be tarred, feathered, and burned alive for even SUGGESTING this @#%$. How could you do this to human beings, you gestapo @#%$. We don't need this. We're not in that much danger, we NEVER were. NEVER. Even if there was a group of terrorists in every city in America, there isnt' a need for this. The Constitution does NOT, and I'll repeat this, NOT guarantee saftey, because saftey is impossible. Ben Franklin said "Those who would trade freedom for saftey deserve neither". And even though that was said a few hundred years ago, it's still true. The beauty of this country, and it's foundation, is that it's not safe, because it can't be, because "saftey" becomes "Tyranny" rather quickly. Case in point: PATRIOT ACT. They're throwing out the baby with the bath water on this one. We need to start writing letters, and I mean [SIZE=1<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/alien.gif ALT="0]"> NOW.[/SIZE] I mean it, I'm going to look up the places to write, and I'm going to post them. Please, please, PLEASE post the patriot act information, and the place to write to, on ALL the messageboards you guys frequent. Make your friends and families do it, and if they don't write it for them, and send it. E-mails don't work, any @#%$ with a computer can send 50,000 E-mails which read "U r teh sUk, teh partiot akt is @#%$. PWR TO TeH PPLS!!", and they won't be listened to at all. I'm bloody frigging serious. If thousands, or millions of letters start pouring in about this, they can't ignore it. Tell them you'll refuse to vote for them EVER AGAIN, tell them you'll tell all your friends and family never to vote for them, @#%$, tell them you'll switch parties, and they'll @#%$ their pants. PLEASE do this. I'm going to look this @#%$ up right now... Edit- OKAY. Here's the info. First, I'll say this: While it may seem that writing letters will do absolutely nothing to change anyone's mind, that's not entirely true. If they get piles upon piles of letters from concerned citizens, they can't just throw them away, they HAVE to read them, and they HAVE to respond to them. One letter will do nothing. One letter means one lone idiot with a chip on his shoulder. Thousands, or millions of letters, on the other hand, would be a MAJOR feat, considering that it's hard enough to get two people to agree on one thing, let alone THOUSANDS, or millions. Will there be thousands, or millions of letters? Well, I'm going to e-mail everyone I know, and give them this information, I'm going to go to every message board I can and spread this information, I'm going to ask web masters from sites that I go to to post this information. Does that mean people will write? No, not really. I can't sit someone down, force a pen in their hand, and make them give up 32 cents for postage. It's up to EACH PERSON. We know about this stuff in advance, and we KNOW that it isn't right, we HAVE to say SOMETHING. And we have to be POLITE. If we write a letter that says "@#%$ you, you @#%$ nazi sonofabitch, eat your own cum and die of syphilis, you prick-licking ass tick", first, they'll ignore it, and second, they'll flag you as a possible psychopath on a bell tower. But if you compose yourself, and type out your letter with at least decent grammar, letting them no in no uncertain terms, that what they're doing is wrong, and that you'll never ever in your entire life vote for them ever again if they even attempt to get something like this passed ever again. This CAN work, if you'll actually write. This will take all of my friends, all of my family, and everyone you know. If militia groups started to rise up, anarchy wouldn't be far behind. We all know that you can only hold off authorities for so long before they kill or capture you if you offer resistance. Incidents like someone shooting cops who charged into his home, would only make things harder for others oppressed by authorities.

According to Marx... Socialism is the transistional stage towards Communism. According to Lenin... Democracy is the stepping stone for Socialists. Therefore... Democracy is the first step towards Communism. In any democracy, the demogogs will lead the people to the voting booth... telling the people that they have the power... the people will always vote the way the demogogs tell them to. The Founding Fathers built a republic, not a democracy. When asked, "what have you wrought?", Benjamin Franklin replied, "a republic... if you can keep it." Evidently, we lost it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Socialist. Communism (the form that Marx theorized) IMO is, at least for now, unattainable. Man is an imperfect being, and we are an imperfect society, therefore it is impossible to create a perfect society such as true communism. (On the other hand, our terrific government is attempting to form a kind of communistic system...the big corporations who control the government would rather there be no private ownership of property--it would be "leased" from them...as evidenced by all the DMCA crap.) The problem is, this is a facist organization, with all the power resting in the hands of an unrightful oligopoly. Hmmmm, tell me now. How would you overthrow the government if it went to far? Through military means, or political means? Nowadays, changing the goevrnment isn't as easy as it was 230 years ago when there were no secret police of spy systems. Politcal means would probably be the best means possible.

I firmly believe that if a third party candidate takes the Whitehouse, things might change a little. It could open the door for other more important roles (read: congress) to be filled by third party candidates. In other countries you have 3 or 4 viable parties (at least). Here, it always comes down to the lesser of two evils. I'm sick of playing that game.
