Most Favorite, Least Favorite Company

Favorite Company: Oooh... that's a toughie, concidering I hate nearly every company in existance... Umm... Glico, the makers of Pocky ^_^ Least Favorie Company: Martha Stewart Omnimedia. I realize that I'm making this topic in a time of great corporate distrust, so a "favorite" company might not exist for many. Nonetheless, here goes: Favorite: Nintendo. Known for innovation in videogames (hardware and software) and long the industry standard, Nintendo still creates incredible games and game machines that are a lot of fun. Once the largest of the videogame companies, they are still highly competitive, dispite being the smallest of the the "big 3" console making companies, and for now at least, they are holding their own against the Mega-corporations (Sony and Microsoft). That may change, but at least for now, I hope they continue to do well. Afterall, unlike the other two, Nintendo's bread and butter has been and continues to be videogames above all else. Least Favorite: Microsoft. They are still an 800 lb. gorilla, and they got off easy in the anti-trust case against them. Furthermore, they have muscled their way into the videogame market, buying up game development companies in order to instantly create "exclusives" for themselves. While they have been unable to capture the dominant market share thus far, they can afford (and have been willing) to take huge losses in order to assure themselves that SONY will not gain an exclusive dominance of the home electronics market (which includes computers, especially since SONY openly supports Linux, and since the Vaio is a considerable computer threat as well). In the process, Microsoft has also hurt (especially in the American market) Nintendo's ability to stay competitive, despite losing tremendous amounts of money to capture the number two position in this market (again, they can afford it with their massive $30 billion dollar warchest). Favorites and least favorites huh? Most favorite: Eeesh this is a tough decision. I guess I'd have to say Coca Cola who brought us that wonderful nectar that makes programming and gaming possible. Either that or Comedy Central for South Park and in past years Mystery Science Theater 3000. Least favorite: Well everybody's saying "Microsoft" so I'm giong to say something different because Microsoft is an obvious one. How about the people trying to shut down P2P networks like Kazaa and Morpheous. I forget the organization's name. Somebody tell these people that the price gouging of the 1990's on CDs is over. Get with the times people. None of those are really companies though (*picking nits*). They are organizations that represent the interests of companies. So really you should blame Polygram, Sony, etc.

How could I have not listed FUNIMATION when I'm ticked off at them right now!!! They have a huge flaw in one of their newly released YYH discs. This is a post I made on another board: Re: YYH DVD 13, Episode 44 ------------------------------------------------------------ The disc is entitled Genkai's Test, and it contains episodes 43-46. Here are the episodes on that disc: 43: The masked fighter revealed 44: Yusuke's Final Test (this is the defective subtitled episode...if you prefer the sub for the English dub, you can still run that while the Japanese dub is playing...but of course it IS NOT the same...that's the well...Funimated sub (this is of course, only if your disc is defective like mine). If your disc is in fact like mine is, the sub for the Japanese dub episode 45 plays here instead of 44). <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":("> 45: Hiei Battles On 46: Many Faces, Many Forms Hope you get a working disc. ZL *That is NOT a random glitch btw.
