Earlier today, Neelick and I were conversing on the topic of Oompah Loompas. Yes, THOSE Oompah Loompas, from Willy Wonka's factory as seen in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie (I love that movie). We were discussing the "fact" that it was obvious that the Oompah Loompas were on drugs. For example, they poured "sugar" into a chocolate river. I don't think they were on drugs. I mean, look at Frank Zappa. I got some short friends who call them selves Oompah Loompas. They say they get mad honeys because of their Oompah style. I don't know...<br><br>Oompahs don't really scar me. Never did. And yes, you do need to put sugar in chocolate. Frank Zappa never took drugs. Never even tried them from what every biography I've read had to say. He was naturally living on another plane of existance obviously. <br><br>In the original illustrations for Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, the OL's are extremely offensive "pickaninny" type African native caricatures. They only became the green/purple trolls we know & love for the movie. <p></p><i></i>
