The road might be almost devoid of parked cars, anf yet, instead of parking anywhere else, they park right there, so you have to make one wheel go right over the top of the blasted things.<br><br>Also, my last Driving Instructer, the one who helped me past my test, told me she had seen a Van drive On the Pavement, On the Other Side of the road, to avoid traffic. Me and my friends were fond of driving through snowbanks in one of their new SUV's--and in a Michigan winter, there were plenty of them for us to plow through in a shower of gorgeous white goodness. However one trip ended up going awry.<br><br>We noticed one bank at the edge of some kind of shallow gorge, and we planned on plowing through it, braking down to the road at the bottom of the gorge, and going on our way. Rather stupid, but we were high on testosterone.<br><br>Nobody anticipated the snowbank actually being a frozen-over mound of dirt covered by a thin layer of snow.<br><br>We jumped the gorge. Jumped it! I wasn't in a position to do much other than shout obscenities as we flew through the air over traffic to land on the other side. Lord only knows what the people underneath us were thinking as we went overhead.<br><br>Needless to say, we went back to that spot later with our snowmobiles and continued to replicate that feat. That leads into another story where I'm hit by the same guy who was driving the 4x4, but that's another story. <p></p><i></i>
