09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.

If someone on this board died how would we know. I mean that could be why some past regulars have never returned. Does anyone know how'd they make sure the board would find out?

I am the one.

I am Tsunami's apprentice.

I am one of the few

able to produce

10 Light Hawk Wings!!

I have wondered this myself. I guess you wouldn't know unless someone close to you knew it happened and posted it on the board.

"Perfect innocence is sometimes more suspicious than darkness"

Or maybe they have friends post their passing if they know they might possibly die.

If I died though, I'd just come back as a ghost to satisfy everyone's piece of curiosity. No kidding.

There is no way we could really know, unless someone who know them in RL was either a board member, or came here specially, and told us.

Currently I am very worried about a friend I have in America.
They slowly began to stop going on the Internet, kinda thing, but she had given me her Phone Number, so I phoned her often. Then things happened in her RL, and I was unable to phone her for a long while, and then she moved, and at this new place she didn't have phone or internet. But using someone else's PC she replied to an email, and even gave me her new address, but told me she had no phone line. It has now been something like 6 months, and I have not heard anything from her, not a single reply to a single letter I sent, no emails, no anything. No letters is not unusual though, as before I had only ever received one letter before. However, I am still worried about her. I went to her site, and the last time it was updated as in April, and in that is mentions she still didn't have a phone line or anything. It also mentioned someone being attacked in the same building in which she was living. Hence, I am very worried about her. I'm sure she's fine, I just wish I knew...
__________________
I have Returned from the Darkness and I am now RED Kagato TEG! Physically, we're all just rotting away daily. As soon as your flatlined for five minutes braindamage occours. About an hour after death you go through rigourmortis. Your body stiffens up, sometimes sitting up-right if already laying down. All the while micro organisms start to devour your flesh from the inside out. They excreate waste and gasses. This is why corpses bloat.

Theres some school out in the south east of the US that has a dead farm. They leave bodies out there to study how a body rots. What insects do what and when (time scale wise) to a cadaver after death. They have all types of death scenarious out there. Even a hanging. Pretty intresting.

Anyway, back to the subject on hand. If no one was instructed to go to all your post forums, no one will know. Unless stated earlier, you know some one from real life and they tell us.

As for any one caring... I would if it was any one I IM with regularly. If not, then no. If you think me cold, I am. When I heard my uncle died, I wasn't sad, more or less just relieved. I knew it was coming, and was more or less prepaired. When Dale Ernhardt died, I didn't cry but was really sad. I haven't been real into NASCAR since.

"Hashiriya are lonely drivers so, we do not need girlfriends."

Edited by: chevybrain at: 9/19/03 12:24 pm

You forgot to say that your nails, and hair keep growing long after your death!

But seriously, will it matter to you that no one will rember you after you die? You will be forgotten over time. Not everyone at your funeral is going to cry over your body. I didn't feel anything when my two grandmothers died. Then again, that could be just me.

The flesh of fallen angels

You know, I seem to remember someone asking this same question before, and I think someone at one point said something abotu being ghosts and still coming after death, and someone said they were dead etc....
__________________
I have Returned from the Darkness and I am now RED Kagato TEG! For me, if someone I scarcely knew on this message board died, I wouldn't be sad, only dissapointed that someone else in the world had died.

I feel that a person is truly cold when he/she says that they're glad someone is dead or said that person's life sucked when it didn't.

If I died, I wouldn't care if nobody felt sorrow for me. But if someone said that my life was a waste of time and no good, I'd be forced to pay that someone a little visit in their dreams.

To sum it up, don't be sorry if someone has died, just be grateful that they lived while they could.

Quote:
But seriously, will it matter to you that no one will rember you after you die?

Well the thing I want out of life is to be rememberd after I die. I could do something great, something awful or something not good or bad; just different. As long as I'm rememberd for a while.

Removed for GoE

"He's an Ass Man!"
