09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.

Well I got screwed out of my domain name. Basically the service I was using sold a bunch of domain names to Network Solutions. They basically told me that if I wanted my domain back I was going to have to pay 150.00 in fees on top of the yearly subscription fee.

Anyway to avoid the fees they told me I could wait for it to become publically available. I did and before I could get it back another company purchased the domain name. I've looked into the company who did it and apparently they do this and sell the domain names back to their owners.

Apparently its legal. I don't see how it would be illegal I guess but its dispicable. So I don't own NoNeedForTenchi.com anymore.

I suspected that something like that might happen when I first signed up for it. I can't say that I'm really really upset. Just really annoyed. Might be able to get it back next year but just really annoyed did I mention that I'm annoyed.

Well the main page itself is still up at the address where it is actually hosted. www.UnitedAnime.com/nnhp and that's where most of the submissions of links I've done link to so I'm going to lose some visitors but not many. The link from Yahoo is still valid which is where most traffic comes from for me.

Did some reasearch on the "Company" who bought it. Apparently there are several aliases for them. One of which being somethike "Internet Lowlife" or something like that.

Anyway to get the main page plz use the link:

www.UnitedAnime.com/nnhp

"God's in his heaven and all is right with the world"
- Nerv
Tenchi Muyo, No Need for a Homepage

Now this is why the World needs Assassins....

The worst thing is they are buying a Domain name just to sell it, not to use it themselves in Any way... It's like those collectors of toys who buy toys, but never even take them out of the box... I mean, I like to collect toys too, but I also like to actually use them. Mind you, as I discover, often they are not exactly designed to be used... <tries to make a figure hold the weapon it came with, and finding it doesn't fit>.

But behaviour like this is just disgusting. And I bet they only really did it, as they saw someone already had the domain, and a Full site on that domain. Spoony Bards, all of them.
__________________
I have Returned from the Darkness and I am now RED Kagato TEG! I've never actually used the noneedfortenchi.com site, if you know what I mean. I always use unitedanime.com/neelick.

Removed for GoE

"He's an Ass Man!"

Quite a few as a matter of fact. Its verisign's doing the bought up a bunch of domain providers. They still charge an HUGE price for domain registration. I can goto Directnic and get my domain name for 15 bucks a year. (tried the cheeper ones and was not as happy).

Anything said by me does not reflect the views of me or myself.
