A sad day it's been. Late last night I learned of the death of a guy in my school. He commited suicide. School has sucked so much today. The halls and classrooms were quiet, except for those who were crying... Even if I didn't know him that well, it makes me feel sad.. <p></p><i></i>

I know how you feel. It was less than a week ago when I got word of one of the funniest guys in my schol dieing. He was drunk and decided to play chicken with a train. Life is sometimes to sad to accept. <p></p><i></i>

I've had suicide touch my own family twice, so I know what a wretchedly horrible experience it is for those that are left to grieve.<br><br>The only thing a person that commits suicide ultimately accomplishes is to create pain and generate a multitude of unanswered questions for those they leave behind. Yes, they may have ended their own pain and suffering, but they have also deprived themselves of a chance to change things for the better (and who knows...as long as a person stays alive, they have at least given themselves a chance to get into/create a better situation). Perhaps depression or some other illness drove a suicidal person to do what they did, but even knowing the stated cause of why a person chose to end it all doesn't erase the pain of those who are suffering over their death.<br><br>It is a a sad and pitiful shame that those who chose suicide as their final escape from life did so. To put it simply, suicide is a total waste. Yeah MC and I go to the same small highschool in a small town. There everyone knows everyone else (well almost) so it hit eveyone hard. Last semester someone at my college commited suicide. I mean, its a 2500 student population, so its not HUGE, but its also not small...<br><br>But it did kind of affect me-on a campus like this you tend to see everyone at least once. I probably smiled at this person once (since I tend to smile to people as I pass them)...so, yeah. Got me thinking.<br><br>But ZL summed it up wonderfully. I couldn't express my opinion any other way.
