Yes, indeed. I heard and FELT the Saturn-5 engines being test-fired. I've worked on parts of the Space Shuttle design. I met a lady (Nichelle Nichols) researching for a new book on women in the space program, BEFORE the first Star-Trek movie was completed. Friends have gone down to Cape Canaveral to work, or put on scuba suits and spent hours down in the Neutral Buoyancy Simulator tank to train the astronauts. Now, President Bush is preparing to announce a new era of manned space exploration: Permanent Moon bases and trips to Mars. Real astronauts I've seen tend to be small to mid-sized: they need less in the way of life support and can move around in cramped places. My daughter is small for her age, and very bright. I won't push her, but Space looks like it could be an option. Where do I buy a ticket?
