Yes, indeed. I heard and FELT the Saturn-5 engines being test-fired. I've worked on parts of the Space Shuttle design.<br>I met a lady (Nichelle Nichols) researching for a new book on women in the space program, BEFORE the first Star-Trek movie was completed.<br>Friends have gone down to Cape Canaveral to work, or put on scuba suits and spent hours down in the Neutral Buoyancy Simulator tank to train the astronauts.<br><br>Now, President Bush is preparing to announce a new era of manned space exploration: Permanent Moon bases and trips to Mars.<br><br>Real astronauts I've seen tend to be small to mid-sized: they need less in the way of life support and can move around in cramped places.<br><br>My daughter is small for her age, and very bright. I won't push her, but Space looks like it could be an option.<br><br>Where do I buy a ticket?<br><br> <p></p><i></i>
