Post subject: Re: Hypothetical Question...Ultimate Knowledge vs. Mortality
PostPosted: Mon Jan 26, 2004 7:24 pm
I would take it. Knowledge of how everything works is something I always wanted and I'll gladly take it over living any day. The Knowledge will be worth to me a lot more; even if it's only for couple seconds. I'd know everything. EVERYTHING. And since I would know everything I won't be scared to die.

Also we're all going to die some day and it could be today or in 60 years. I might as well know what death is like before it happens.

Edited by: Cerebrate Araq at: 1/26/04 6:26 pm

Right on!

I was waiting to see if someone would choose as you did Cerebrate Araq. ^_^ I might not have chosen as you did, but that's a very interesting perspective indeed.

All of the answers have been very good in this thread, don't get me wrong. It's just that this is the first reply that takes the choice of knowledge straight up, without changing or adding anything to the parameters in order to make the choice. Most refreshing. ^_^

ZL

Empires wax and wane; states cleave asunder and coalesce.

"Swift as the wind, silent as the forest, fierce as the fire, steady as the mountain." A banner used by the Takeda clan of Kai (Sengoku Jidai era).
Edited by: Zhuge Liang at: 1/27/04 3:56 am

What if you already have Telekinetic abilities like me?

Either way , I'd more likely go for mortality than ultimate knowlegde. Even if I could come back, knowing all gets boring. Besides, as Son Gokuu once said, "Being mortal is what makes the impossible possible!"
