Which is Better?

In this topic, create a couple of choices to choose from in the format of which is better, choice one or two. Posters can then reply to your options. First Question: Which is better: making a lot of money in a high stress job, or being in a low paying occupation that rewards in other ways (eg. an occupation that makes you happy)? <img src="http://webpages.charter.net/korichan/zl/R3K.gif"/> <img src="http://webpages.charter.net/korichan/zl/ZLstrat.gif"/>   Empires wax and wane; states cleave asunder and coalesce. Low paying job that makes you feel better. Lucky for me I'm going to get the best of both worlds!!! High paying job with low stress yield and makes me feel better!!! WOOHOO! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D"> Now how in the hell am I going to make life perfect for all? Oh damn. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":("> Well any ways, no I don't expect to get the perfect job, just one I like that pays well. Which is better, Having Absolute power and some how never becoming corrupt, or have little power and being very corrupt? Choose carefully as there is way more to the choices then the quetion alone would make it seem. This is because you're likely to not enjoy any personal success for very long if you only have a little power while being very corrupt. There are exceptions though. For example, you could be some kind of Constitutional monarch who gets to live lavishly at the expense of taxpayers in order to keep up "tradition." *Mind you, I actually like the imagery and traditional trappings of the British monarchy...just not the scandals.* :P It's almost that same dichotomy of, would you rather reign or rule (eg. a Constitutional Monarch vs. a Dictator)? Almost invariably, those who reign stay on top much longer, because it's very difficult to actually rule. As a ruler, you have more concerns, such as infighting, maintaining support etc. Nevertheless, real power is always greater in the hands of rulers, since those who reign are merely figureheads. I'd take a job that would be something enjoyable, gets you fit, allows you to see the world, view new cultures, and learn self-defense. Also called the military. And if that didn't work, the stage would be an inviting spot to go for. People with high paying jobs tend to depressed all the time so nuts to that kind of rank if I'm going to be stressed all the time.

^^Then your all set Neo! Just don't let someone trick you into going for Special Forces. Not a very charming experience when they start to dope you for medical reasons. But here's a tinker for you folks. Suppose you were given 2 choices. 1) You are given a check for 10 million dollars or.. 2) A check to cover all travel expenses for any number of chosen people to a hot vacation spot for 3 weeks which would be completly spent after shopping and the like. What would you choose?

I'd choose the $10 million. Buy a house, pay off my loans and maybe open my business. Which is better? 1)To have love and lost or 2)To have never loved at all. I'd say I'm leaning on the second as well. But the way I look at it, you just have to follow your instincts and move around a bit if the women around you aren't for you. And hey, maybe some of us are due for a life of chasity for special reasons. *Hears snickering.* Ho man, this single stuff is gonna be rough.
