09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.
Post subject: T.V audio input to the computer problem!

O.K my Television set has just about had it. Its over decade old and its time to get a new one. However, my computer monitor is also almost a decade old and its time to get a new one of those two. So I got this great idea why not kill to birds with one stone and run my T.V through my computer. I have had ATI Multimedia Center software and all of the hardware for awhile now and before its worked fine. But now when I try to run my T.V through my computer I can get the video to the computer, but I can't get the sound to the computer!

I want to make sure that I can get all of this working properly before I go out and buy a $300 plasma screen monitor. Any Idea on how I can fix this audio input problem? Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you connecting a cable tv line to your computer, or just an antenna? Either way, you might not have things configured correctly. Could you give more info on your system and your hardware? Right now, I'm assuming you have either an ATI All-In-Wonder card, or an ATI video card with a TV-In card...
Neo Kamidake, Resident Gundam Fanboy

"Lieutenant Amada, I only have one question. I have an audio composite connection running off a satelite reciever. I have in All In-Wonder card installed on my computer. I have had problems inputing any kind of audio into my computer from an external source. My microphone to my sound recorder has and hasn't worked.

Well, I suppose if you have had trouble with other types of audio input, it is most likely misconfigured software settings...I doubt that it might be a hardware problem (if it were, it would most likely be on your sound card). I hope you can find out precisely what's wrong.
Neo Kamidake, Resident Gundam Fanboy

"Lieutenant Amada, I only have one question.
