Does anyone else know about this living fossil? From what I've found it's been around when the Dinos were up and kicking. You gotta take a look at how these things swim with six fins! It's something else. It's nothing like your everyday fish. Then again, they give birth like mammals too so...

Here's a link that gives information on it.

www.calacademy.org/scienc...10601.html

We need more images of these two together. ;.;

I seen a whole program about this on The Discovery Channel. It's just unbelievable how long these creatures have been around, and if they can stay out of the eye of man then what other creatures could be lurking around at the bottom of the ocean?

<marquee>You are Remus Lupin, the kind werewolf and possibly the sweetest person in the world... ^^ You like to read and love hanging around with your best friends.</marquee>

Which of the marauders are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

I've known about them for some time.

I also watched that Discovery channel special (although I knew about them well before watching the show). What I found really fascinating was the fact that they might be even more widespread then first thought. It is indeed amazing that we've only explored only about one percent of the ocean depths. You're right CY, who knows what else is under there?

I think the Giant Squid is going to be the next "discovery." I mean...filming one alive that is. We know they're out there, it's just a matter of finding one and filming it in its natural environment.

ZL

Shall I talk about how I was going to be a Paleontologist now? Nah... Think about it. If there is giant squid then there must be giant octopuses. There is also TONS of things on land that people see. Ever hear of the Thunder Bird? Big freakin' bird crashed a commercial airliner. When they found the crash, there was blood and feathers and great big gashes all across the whole thing. Ever hear of Goatman? Thing is all over the place, mostly in Maryland. Supposedly its got a great big ax. I know a lot about cryptozoology (study of unknown and recently discovered animals) so ask a question.

Cryptozoology isn't that highly regarded at this time, I don't believe...maybe only recently...

Still...amazing discoveries like Megamouth (a shark) keep getting discovered. It's just that the cryptozoologists spend a lot of time chasing sea serpents like the Loch Ness Monster etc. I hope they find a Pleisiosaur or something out there, but who knows... Only time will tell.

ZL

Empires wax and wane; states cleave asunder and coalesce.

"Swift as the wind, silent as the forest, fierce as the fire, steady as the mountain." A banner used by the Takeda clan of Kai (Sengoku Jidai era).

If they were to find something in Loch Ness they would have found it by now. But the stories have been bringing in tourists and have had movies about them too, so someone's getting something out of it.

I wish I did know more about stuff like this. If you have seen a French movie called Brotherhood of the Wolf that is a perfect example of something like this. It is based on a true story where women and children were killed by their hundreds in France and it was believed to be a new creature, a wolf like creature. The killings just stopped one day and no one was caught and no animals were found.

<marquee>You are Remus Lupin, the kind werewolf and possibly the sweetest person in the world... ^^ You like to read and love hanging around with your best friends.</marquee>

Which of the marauders are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

I saw some wierd crap a year ago. Going home, I saw a triangle thing spinning slowly over a radio tower. It had lights on the tips and in the center. It sped off and I lost sight of it. Word of advice, don't spend many a hour pouring over information on the occult and the paranormal. It will get to eventually.
------------------
Once I bruised my knee real bad. a few days later I played paintball and got shot in the same spot as the bruise, yet I told no one. Moral of the story, foul play is afoot!
(<_<) (>_>) (O_O)!
