I erased my own topic. Hehehe. I found out the old "global" acount. Ezboard rats...I don't remember opening that one and I certainly didn't give them the password they gave me. But it works...I hope they didn't give me someone else's. ^^;;;;; ZL

Well, I got Slackware Linux 8.0 recently and had amazing amounts of problems with it... first with it not wanting to use ReiserFS (which I'm still not using due to increasingly stupid problems), having TWO kernels in the installation (2.2.19 and 2.4.5, 2.2.19 being the default), refusing to change kernels, netconfig not working, liloconfig not working, and netconfig detecting the wrong ethernet card... add the fact that it was near impossible to type while using a GUI, as I was forced to use Qwerty, instead of Dvorak, and that my friend kept bugging me when I was recompiling my kernel (which I did about 5 times because there were some conflicting modules, which only come about in make module_install... the last command when compiling the kernel). I just wanted to rant ^^;;; I'm not sure how many people understood or cared about what I said... but bleh :P I've learned more about computers since September, when I got Linux, than I had from when I was a 5 year old to last year... Ah well... that explains why I've been absent since Thursday afternoon... I hadn't anticipated all this. Maybe I overestimated Slack's userfriendlyness... bleh at Redhat and SuSE getting me used to userfriendlyness :P I'll be fully back tomorrow (Monday) ^_^ Or at least I SHOULD be.
