| Post subject: | Titles that Didn't Quite Make It... |
Don't you wonder what might have happened if the title of some book or movie wasn't called what it eventually came out as? <br><br>For example, what if Tenchi Muyo was called something like "Overwhelmed Guy." What if "Star Wars" was titled "Space Rebels vs. the Galactic Empire"? Those wouldn't work...or would they? :P<br><br>What other alternate titles might have been contemplated for different works and ultimately left behind in place of the eventual title that people know them by? Similarly, what sort of odd or humorous title might an author or producer have had in mind as a joke as the work was being made? I suppose those two couldn't be blamed): "Hey, I've got an Idea, let's make another version on this game, but make it SLIGHTLY different! Then we can rip people off by making other ones that are all SLIGHTLY different to eachother, so they'll have to buy all of them!" (Pokemon Emerald, anyone? -_-') |

I'll add a twist to this, see if you can work out what the following are meant to be. Anime: Tokyo explodes a lot. / Blue old kids and ex-biker make things explode Tokyo Tower is destroied. Girl and Half Dog demon try to cover up their rampent lust for each other. Panty shots and catfights: The Original Monkey Men with pointy hair blow stuff (including each other) Up Tokyo Tower is destroied. Again. Kid and Pink Dog Doll mess up everyone's head with a Golden Baseball bat Japanese High School Girls Gone Wild!!!!1 Arucard Kicks Serious Arse / Alucard Kisks Serious Arse The Writers Don't like Tokyo Tower much. The Writers who didn't like Tokyo Tower bring together all their cast, to presumably blow up mutliple Tokyo Towers in different dimensions. Men Vs Women Vs Some Evil Aliens. In Space. Guy copying Pointy Ears Man with Giant Robots. Now for Cartoons: Pointy Ears Man: The Cartoon. Crazy Alien and Robot try to invade Earth and Make a mess of it. Repeatedly. British Secret Agent Rodent. Robots that change into other things and have great marketing power. ----------------------------------------------------------------- See how many you lot can work out without me giving out the answers... |
