Yeah I like hockey a lot. Had to go to AHL games last year. Well I go to a lot of AHL games but we usually go to at least one NHL game a year.

Yeah that pretty much does away with the slow games that some teams specialized in by trapping the puck in the neutral zone.

I know in the AHL they were testing adding a trapazoid shaped zone behind the net. I forget the rules exactly how it worked. At first I though the goalie coudn't go back there, but then I saw goalie after goalie back there. So I never fully understood what it was for. Anyway, are they adding that to the NHL?

The other thing is I'm pretty amazed how much that the Players' Union gave into the owners. It seems that the owners got pretty much what they wanted. Don't get me wrong, I don't think anybody should make 20 million dollars a year. Espescially to play a sport. How much $$ could you possibly need? And 50.00 for a ticket hurts.

The zone behind the net is the only place the goalie can go into. Its helps the puck and chase plays for the offense when the goalie cant go all the way to the outside boards to stop it. I dont think it will be implemented but I never really like it anyway. The players gave in so easliy because Bob Goodenow mislead them into thinking they could make an agreement without a cap but when they found out that was impossible they had to give in because the deal just kept getting worse and worse.

It doesn't seem to me it will be implemented either. It didn't seem to make enough difference in the game.

I'm currently looking for a new team to root for. I've always lived in the New England area where primarily the team is the Boston Bruins, but their management is so bad. No teams stand out yet. Right now I guess I'd have to say I'm a fan of the AHL team for the Bruins. WHo are the "Providence Bruins" but that's mainly because I used to work for the team.

You know, I knew there was something missing from the new board, and that was Sliz talking about Hockey lol

I like hockey too. Definately one of the more interesting sports. Let's face it, Baseball is slow, Golf.... zzzzz, Soccer.... I don't see the appeal. But sports like Hockey and Football are exciting I find.

Don't get me wrong all sports are fun to play. And they're all fun to attend. But I'm talking about watching on TV.

Anyway I like hockey, any sport which is on ice, has to be fast paced. It amazes me sometimes the things that the players are capable of doing on skates.
