Yep. They're screwed. Their maybe another chance of even more hurricanes coming. I think the government has something against New Orleans. Try to wipe some of the population out. That's why they didn't do SH**! |

That's my theory! I hope it isn't true. Or I may have to open a can of whoop a**. Seriously though, I am upset that our homeland security(or whatever we use for these situations) didn't do s*** for this. They knew it was going to hit yet they did squat. PISSES ME OFF! They could've at least get the home land security to evacuate them out by helicopter, bus, truck, or something! or at least the towns construction crew could've increased that levi. Maybe make a wall where they would get hit. Maybe make a gate for all the ships that come in. But NO! The government just sat back on their OVERLY, GREEDY, POWER-HUNGRY, A**ES and let this BIG OL' PILE OF S*** happened! The only three that seems to care is Bush JR., Bush Senior, and Clinton. Also I like to aplogize for my language. Just want to express my self. |

Your an idiot. You never take anything seriously. I agree that the government could have done something sooner, but for some strang reason they did not. Let's not blame the government. Let's not blame anybody. It's just one of the those things that happen. Nature is a fickeled thing. |

I agree...Putting blame on someone isnt the best thing to do...Plus, theres only so much anyone can do in a situation such as this..Its not like the government was sitting back watching it on live tv saying "Aha! look at those suckers get blown away!" and i have alot more to write but its getting hard for me to focus so im leaving, i shall finish tomorrow |

Thank you and your right. Minagi, do u wait for the apocalypse? Or do just try too trun everyone against the government? Because frankly it's quite annoying. We just need one more paranoid, obsessed, rebel to break the limit. Honestly, I don't think we should have anymore, because in situations like these worse and more depressing. So, how about you cut back on your grudge against the government? |

Bottom line is while we prepared for terrorist attacks, no one ever thought of making a plan of action to deal with a level 5 hurricane. People did the best they could in this situation. There was some red tape getting in the way because until the govenors of Lusiana and Mississippi asked for help, the governmental bodies had no authority to control people. Once that was not an issue any more, the government inacted marshall law and tried to organize things. So, stop harping about that. What's done is done. Worry more about all the small towns down there in Lusiana and Mississippi. Mississippi got hit harder any way. It's just that all the reporters decieded to report from The Big Easy. The death toll will be so huge, that my mom who is normally very compacionate, being a RN and all, that she recomends pilling up the masses and burning them. True, the micro organisms that decay rotting corpses are not that dangerous, but they are extremely bad smelling. I heard one news report that the govenor of Lusiana is requsting a bunch of refridgerated trucks. I hope she was talking about a fleet of 60' tractor/trailors, because that's exactly what it'll take. Mean while, all the evacuee's will be needing money as that's more easily funneld. My car club had a usual monthly meeting. We took up a collection of montly dues, plus one new dude who's just thinking about being a member. We collected $61 and will donate it to the Red Cross. We were all going to cruise up there and put our donations in one at a time in a line of cars, but it was getting late, and people had other stuff to do. The worst part is that most of the displaced are now out of jobs until the factorys, shipping yards, and refineries get up and running again. I for see a depression. Remember when President Fox of Mexico said that Mexicans were willing to do the jobs that not even the Blacks would do? There was a Black leader who said that it's true. If they want to make some thing of them selves, in the imidiate future, they are going to have to look seriously at migrant farm working across the country. |
