"AAAAHHH!!!" the blood curtling scream filled the room as the young boy named Don lay in torment...
Mr. Shistal sat and viewed the spectacle, thinking... Did he dare? Did he dare tamper with what humans were never meant too?
He dismissed the very thought and proceeded out of the room disgusted with the screams of anguish...
He peered off the side of a balcony over the city, the very city the humans fought for ages to protect, for you see the planet of Jual was a prize Earth sought for ages. But the years of war left them with nothing but a filthy metropolis and a vengeful alien race that always loomed over the horizon, non dared invade their realm... But the perfect weapon driven by the ever growing human desire to explore all aspects of life, including the mind, was being created... and Don was that very thing. Don was born a cross breed of a human women and a male of the native race... He was a special boy with odd like features, but a mind that exceeded any human potential... Unlocking the recesses of his mind may bring the downfall to the Native Jual, so these lands may be claimed by Earth...
Mr. Shistal left the balcony and trudged back to his quarters.

huughh hughhh hugghh...
"Come out!!"
"NOO!!!! Get away..."
A boy around Dons age grabbed a hold of him and shoved a knife into his chest with suprising strength...
"You will bleed tears of sorrow..."
"And You will now die!"
The boy grabbed a hold of Dons head and drove his hand straight through his chest with unimaginable strength.
"AHHH"
Blood oozed across the ground as Don could feel life draining from him...
He looked down at his hand and saw it soaked in his own blood.
The boy takes his driven hand and searches his insides and finds his spinal cord... and breaks it...
"AAAHHHHHH!!!"
Bright Light flashed and Don arose from his deep sleep...
"a dream..."
"Whats happening to me..."
He smashes his hand against the glass walls surrounding him, and to his dismay shattering it...
"huh?" he looked at his palm bleeding from broken glass...
he felt nothing...
ALERT!! ALERT!! ALERT!! ALERT!!
The breaking of the glass triggers an alarm hundreds of armed troops pour into the room...
Mr. Shistal rushes to Don's side, are you alright boy?
"Why am I hear?" replied Don with much sadness...
"Because.. we need you hear to..."
"Your not going to tell me are you?"
"Im sorry, we cant..."
Suddenly Don's eyes fill with scarlet his muscles tense, limbs spasming...
"ughhh Whats happening too me!!"
The spasms stop as suddenly as they began...
but he appears different... His eyes pure red...
"Why am I hear?" Don asks in an almost robotic tone...
"Huh? Don whats the matter, DOCTOR! Get over here!"
"Why am I hear?" Don says just as before...
"Don calm yourself its me Doctor Deltorre!"
"Why am I here?"
"Son, stop with these questions and get back to sleep you'll feel better in the morning..."
"Why am I here?"
"SILENCE BOY!!"
Don turns his head towards Mr. Shistal...
"Why am I hear..."
"Why am I hear..."
"Why am I hear..."
"Why am I HEEEAAAARRR!!!"
A Flash of energy appears and the walls tremble... Don arises from his cot and looks around...
"WHY!!!!!!!!!"
Blood flies through the air as the armed guards are crushed and mutilated with incredible force, Windows shatter, doors split, walls are crushed, bodies broken...

In the ravaged room Don lay curled in a little ball...Crying...
He begins to spasm violently as his body once again becomes tense...
Don grabs his arm to stop the movement but cant... he becomes dizzy and feels blood filling his eyes... But he cant scream he feels nothing... Then blood runs down his arm as gash appears along his forearm... Then his leg begins too split in two... Then his chest, and shoulders! Don Grabs his head as he feels it beggining to split in two... He screams in dispair, but none can hear him... His body then becomes feeble and falls to the floor... And from his torn body arises the evil within Don. What has been eating away his sanity... What the doctors triggered with their expeiriments!
This new Don looks down at his former self. He looks at a near by wall places a finger tip on it, And immediately it explodes into a million pieces, and behind it was the city..
"their calling me..."
With this Don jumps from the building and into the city...

Landing gracefuly on the asphalt he proceeds through crowds knocking people aside causing them to fly through the air crashing to their deaths...
Don trudges slowly across the street, as a giant truck comes barreling towards him, the driver slams the breaks as the truck smashes right into him...
Moments pass, and the truck explodes into oblivion.
"ARRGGHHHHH!!!"
an unexpected flow of rage emits from Don as flames appear around him he waves his hand into the direction of people...
And in a flash the frightened people burst into flames...
Pain and the stench of melting flesh fills the city as thousands run for their lives...
But Don walks in the same direction... Causing things to burst into flames as he marches forward...

"ugghhh" "Ugghhh"
Back in the Lab under large amounts of rubble awakens Shistal. With a bleeding arm and a gash in the side of his head... "what happened..." "HUH!?" as he looks around in distress at the lab... And then his eyes rest on the broken body of Don, where his evil self had risen...
Shistal touches Don's head tryin to awaken him. But he was clearly dead.
Shistal pears out of the missing wall at the city below him, thriving with flames and havoc...
a churning noise then begins faintly, Shistal looks down at the broken body of Don, and is shocked... His body was putting itself back together!? Shistal took a step back and saw the revolting spectacle as Don grew to his normal self...
Then standing upright stood Don eyes all white, and a face of determination...
"where is he"
"DON YOUR ALIVE!"
"WHERE IS HE!!"
Dust rises into the air as a sign of impatientce from him.
"What, I do not know what you speak of!"
"Very well I shall find him"
Don only a child appeared almost god-like as he floated with the winds to the ground.

"DIE!!!" Don flings a woman through the air and into a near by vehicle, and sprays flames all over a mess of abandoned cars...
But suddenly the skies darken and it begins too rain...
"WHAT?!"
Then from above the original Don glides down to face his twin.
"I was expecting you..."
"You know they will be hear soon I can feel it and so can you!"
The original Don views the surrounding wreckage and nods his head...
"very well shall we fight or will you be willing to allow me to destroy this disgusting planet?"
No answer...
"I see..."
With this he charges the original Don, Raises his fist-
Bang!
"AAAWWWHHH!!!"
A Gun shot just ripped his fist to shreds...
"WHY!! WHY DO I FEEL PAIN!!"
Weilding a rifle stood Shistal...
"I'll get you!!!"
And he springs toward Shistal, He fires but misses.
Then Don Appears suddenly standing between him and Shistal...
"Dont stop me!!"
"But I will stop you" he replied flatly...
Then with a quick reflex Don grips his head in a strong hold...
"I will kill you now..."
He raises him into the air, as he screams in pain...
Don raises his arm, and drives it through his chest.
"AAAHHH!!!"
Don takes his driven hand a snaps his spinal cord with his fingers. And drops him like a rag doll...
"Its over..."
Don lays his palm out and feels the rain trickle from his finger tips...

"They're here..."

A Blinding light appears and buildings crumble as a gigantic ship appears out of no where!
It slowly decsends destroying all buildings below it...
and nestles itself into the broken asphalt...
Shistal raises his hands over his eyes from the blinding light...
A door opens in the ships hull, and a being steps out clothed in a long robe like garment...
It moves towards Don...
And places a hand on his forehead...
"My creation is finnally complete" the being replied...
"You are now the future of Jual my son..."
"Defeating the demons within has made you the purest of beings..."
"You are fit too rule..."
"Maybe Us "Wanderers From Afar" may learn from what you teach these people"
"Know your destiny"
"Farewell..."
"You are now.... a god..."

A Blinding light reapears and the ship is gone...

Shistal walks slowly towards Don...
"whats to become of us?"

"Great things" said Don...

"Great Things..."


Thus begins the Golden Age of "Don's Dominion". The planet of Jual was in a great time of peace. Humans still lived on the planet and even melded with the Alien population known as the Issara... But because of the events that took place Earth created a policy of severing all contact to Jual. Leaving its human population abandoned... so they adopted customs and lifestyles as so did they. And peace prevailed lead by our God and Ruler Don who ruled for 2 thousand years... But after his death the skies were cursed with eternal rain in memory of him... the great god of Jual... But our kingdom begins anew with the memory of Don the lessons of his opposite and the lands they bestow us!
Don died for our people and still even in death guides us, for he is spiritualy immortal and non can hurt our great lands blessed by gods, and loved by many...
But when they came to haunt our skies, the race of golden fleets... We prepared for battle, non will dare haunt our Skies and now theres will feel our wrath...

I should have checked this place more often. I love you, Mothman, like a man who loves pudding so much he eats a lot of it, gets fat, and has to go to hospital due to heart problems, but he doesn't mind because he died doing what he loved- eating metaphorical pudding.

I love metaphorical pudding.

As should I. This is certainly bizarro, it seems to be a mix of Omniverse Zero and our old ezboard... anyway it doesn't really belong in this forum so I'm shifting it to the Kaleidoscope Room.

(Was bored and thought I'd browse the net, when I came across this)



When I first saw this picture, I automatically thought "Ayeka" because of the facial aspects I seem to associate with her. But, this turns out to be Sasami, not Ayeka. I guess the family resemblence might come from the same artist who draws for Ayeka (and who is really good at it).

Has anyone noticed simularities between any of the other "family" members in the series (or earlier series). Such as Nobeyuki and Tenchi, or something?

Of course, Misaki, when she's not going "super-deformed" seems to have combined looks of both her daughters. Both Yosho and Tenchi have the looks of Funaho. Mihoshi looks just like her mother, but with bigger eyes. Tenchi's sister, Tennyo, looks exactly like their mother. And Ryoko looks like a male version of Washu Razz

Oi! Anyway, its interesting to note that Nobuyuki and Yosho are similar looking and the same VA in Japan plays them both.

Speculation alert -
Didnt Azusa say something about Yosho marrying an Earth girl - but Arai is an Aryan, not an Earthling, meaning Nobuyuki could be a descendant of Yosho's other marriage, explaining why he has lived so long Cool

Yup, that's exactly the case. Noboyuki is a distant descendant of Yosho through Yosho's marriage to Kasumi (which occured before he reunited with Airi). And, yes, Noboyuki has recieved life extension.

(not meaning to be disagreeable, but..)

I think that Achika is Yosho's daughter, whereas Nobiyuke is a regular earth guy with earth parents. So, Nobiyuke (tenchi's father) has no jurian blood in him, as far as I've been able to understand. He just married the half-jurian daughter of Yosho. So that would make Tenchi, 1/4 jurian. I think.

There's a slight problem there Mayuka. I think you may be talking about Tenchi TV(Universe). That's the only time where Tenchi's mom is Achika. In the OVAs, her name is Kiyone. And in the OVAs, Zigra is right. Noboyuki is a direct descendent of Yosho.

If you are talking about Tenchi, he actually has three different mothers. But only 1 mom per continuity.

His mom is Kiyone in the original OAV.

His mom is Achika in the Tenchu Universe->TMiL1->TMiL2->EM continuity.

His mom is Chihiro in the Magical Girl Pretty Sammy OAV. This is also where Sasami is his sister.

So it's just in the 2nd OVA (Tenchi Universe) that Nobeyuki is 100% human, right? In the movies and everywhere else, he's part Jurian?

On character resemblences, at the start of OVA 3 ("Here comes the bride"), I noticed that Tenchi and his older sister looked almost identical to each other when she was hugging him. (looked odd too, the resemblence that is, not the hug)

You got your continuities mixed up.

The OAV is one big continuity and TU is not OAV2. Those are two seperate things. TU is just Tenchi Universe, the 26 episodes of the TV show. OAV2 are episodes 7-13 of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki. What goes for OAV2 goes for the rest of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki.

Hence, Nobuyuki is not fully "human" in the OAV.

Concerning Yosho's relationship with Nobeyuki...

I just read on the Anime News Network, that Yosho was Nobeyuki's father-in-law. That would make (Achika) Kiyone his daughter and Nobeyuki as a human. But this seems to conflict with what Ko said earlier.

Now I need to start over. I've been looking at different characters for OVA3 briefly (got bored) and noticed that Nobuyuki's last name is shared by some Jurian individuals. SO, it would be quite a coincidence if Nobuyuki wasn't jurian himself. If he is, then I am wondering why he doesn't himself have a ship, or seem to have any knowledge of jurian technology. (he seems as out-of-it as any earth person would be)

In the OAV, Noboyuki is both Yosho's descendant, and his son-in-law due to his marriage to Kiyone.

It's the TV continuities where Noboyuki has no known Juraian lineage and is %100 Earthling (saying he isn't entirely human in the OAV is misleading, as Juraians are humans).

I'm not sure why he doesn't have his own ship, but I'm guessing it's his own personal choice to live on Earth. He is well aware of his Juraian lineage, and of life outside Earth.

Thanks. It looks like Yosho is Nobuyuki's great grand-father, yet Tenchi calls Yosho his grandpa. *smirk* Perhaps this is just something which Yosho felt would be more comfortable for Tenchi to believe, than to have Tenchi to know that he (Yosho) is actually his great-great-grandfather.

*sighs*

No wonder it's hard for me to pick these things up, if even the characters are trying to deceive each other.

Why is it, that at the beginning of OVA 3 "Here comes the bride", that Nobuyuki was trying his best to kiss Tennyo, if Tennyo was his (and Kiyone's) daughter. This doesn't seem to make any sense. Now, if Tennyo was Tenchi's half-sister.. well, that would still be wierd, but more probable as Tennyo wouldn't be Nobeyuki's own blood. Which.. Hmmm.. If Tennyo really is something like 80 years old as she told Tenchi.. then, wouldn't that make Nobuyuki much older? Would this mean that he is also using a hologram appearance as Yosho is, to make himself look much older than he really is..??

OH!! I get it now. If Yosho is really comparable to a 26 year old, then Nobuyuki would be comparable to a teenager (perhaps a 19 year old). This would account for him still acting like a peeping tom with girls around, becausse he hasn't grown up yet, and still under the strong influence of his hormones.

Arrgh, you are getting yourself confused M_DD.

Okay, here goes.

Nobuyuki is a descendant of Yosho and Kasumi (we don't know how many generations back). Kasumi is the wife Yosho had 700 years ago. He met her during the fight with Ryoko. She lived 120 years then died.

Here is Kasumi, posing with Ryoko:


Soon after her death, Yosho then married his Academy (like High School) girlfriend since she had his first daughter, Minaho. They then had a second daughter, Kiyone sometime.

Kiyone married Nobuyuki. Yosho is Tenchi's grandfather. He is also his Great-great-........ grandfather.

Nobuyuki tried to kiss Tennyo, his actual daughter, as a joke because she looks like Kiyone and to tease Tenchi (Tenchi was still thinking she was him mom at the time.)

About the Nobuyuki-Tennyo thing, as others have said, it was to tease Tenchi. And it is the kind of joke that Kiyone would have done (IMO). However, what they didn't expect was Tenchi's emotional reaction to seeing Tennyo. As soon as Tennyo realized the emotional impact this was having on him, she was no longer willing to go along with the joke. Sadly, Nobuyuki didn't see the impact it had on Tenchi and didn't take the hints Tennyo was giving him to stop this act. Since he wouldn't stop, she had to punch him to get his attention. ^_^;

Oh, and that's not my chart. Tiger Cow gets 100% of the credit for that. Cool

ok, I think that I've got how everyone is. I just needed a tutor there for a sec. It just seemed strange to me that any father would willingly (even for a tease) kiss their daughter. But what about Nobuyuki using a personal hologram appearance thingy?

rolf, kasumi is really beautiful. I had thought that Yosho would only marry old women. But his age hologram fooled me again.

Kasumi also happens to be Yosho's cousin. She is Funaho's niece. That's why she has resemblance to his mother (Yosho is attracted to his mother or a at least considers her his ideal woman).

Before you are confused, Funaho came from the earth originally as was said in episode 13. Azusa was hurt during a space battle and Tsunami deposited him on the earth where he met Funaho.

Firstly Azusa says in ep. 13 Yosho had a grandson with an earthling. This seems to suggest that Nobuyuki is said grandson and not Tenchi as first believed because we didnt know (at least I didnt) that Tenchi's grandma was an alien also (Arei is as said earlier an Aryan).

Also people shouldnt get weirded out cos like Ayeka told Tenchi back in ep.3, on Jurai it isnt weird for intermarriage (though this may just extend to the Royal Family... many real-life royal families intermarry but little is said about this).

From what Ive read from the translations of the "Yosho" novel, Yosho was attracted to Misaki (I remember reading how she accidentally saw a 12 year old Yoshos er... "morning glory" when trying to wake him one day), but saw his mother as perfection - even naming his life tree after her.

Also I dont see why Nobuyuki at 200 years old is not wearing a disguise like Yosho. He apparently looked younger in ep. 20 (I havent seen this one yet though) and I expect has a true physical age of around 20 (much like May-chan theorised).

Ahah!! We have inadvertinly come across a loose end that AIC has overlooked (I think). In the beginning episode of OVA3 ("Here comes the bride") Yosho dropped his "illusion of age" to let Tenchi see how he really appeared (which was about 26?). So, if he is hundreds of years older than Nobuyuki, then wouldn't Nobuyuki be equivalent to an older teenager (19)? I think that this would account for his lure for being a peeping tom, whereas Yosho (being more grown up) isn't drawn toward that. But why has AIC never seemed to give evidence that Nobuyuki would possess a age "hologram"?

Nobuyuki probably doesn't need an age hologram. Would you have guessed from looking at her that Kiyone (Tenchi's mother) would be over 200 years old? Or that Airi is 700+? No, because the ageing process is slowed down. Yosho, on the other hand, is supposed to be an aged priest, so he uses a hologram to look like one. Remember that Tennyo, when she was going to her school reunion, was to disguise herself to look 80 years old, yet she doesn't look anywhere near 80.

Nobuyuki doesn't need a disguise because he looks the age he is supposed to. As the years go by, he may effect a hologram just as Yosho does. On the other hand, the "old" Yosho will disappear and a new, young priest who looks surprisingly like a young Yosho will take his place. Smile

So there is no "loose end".

We conjectureed at one time that the "old lady" (Nobuyuki's aunt) at the onsen (from episode 4 and 9) is not really as old as she looks. Smile

She may be quite young and spritely.
