WTF is mega Tokyo?

Mega Tokyo is a Web comic, or even a Web Manga, written by the American Fred Gallagher, or Piro, about his fictional misadventures in Japan, after he and his friend, Largo, get stranded there.

It is one of the most famous web comics on the Internet, and is also quite widely advailable to buy in printed book form.

It does have some high quality to it, in its art and writing.

However, I would not really call it a Manga outright, due to the fact it is primary a webcomic. Stellevia has done the equivalent of me going...

It isn't anything new, it's called Webcomics, the Internet is full of them, and the majority of them are free appart from a few special extras...

Apart from Fred's obvious self-insertion of a character who is supposed to be him but looks nothing like his real self, just to live out his fantasies of meeting cute Japanese school girls or being mistaken for one (and his pitiful work ethic despite the fact that the comic is his job now), Megatokyo is pretty good.

Penny Arcade is better though, IMO.

And for those who like NWSFOBS (Not Work Safe Or Brain Safe) comics there's always Ghastly's Ghastly Comic.

Penny and Aggie

"Penny and Aggie" is about the popular girl in school (Penny) and her rivalry with Aggie, the unpopular more punkish girl. The art and writing is great and its def worth a look.

Misfile

Misfile is about an angel who is kicked out of heaven for smoking too many drugs on the job. Before he gets kicked out, he mistakenly files a boy's info under "girl" and loses the last two pages of a girl's life. Now he has to try to get back to heaven in order to help the people's lives he has messed with get back to the natural order of things.

Zap!

Zap is a psychic who can't remember his past and is adopted by a group of rebels fighting against the Earth's tyranny in outer space.

Earthsong

Earthsong is about a planet where different creatures are sent when they have a soul stone growing in their heart. On this planet a battle is occuring over the soul stones. Currently this comic is about to be published so some of the art is getting redone and only one new comic a week...but its worth the read.

Striptease (about comic strips...not stripping)

This one is about friends working on a comic...its got evil twins and all kinds of goodness that make it worth the read.
