I guess most of the time, I can just tell by the way a person types.

But also, if that were the case about names, my father has a girls name, and I have a guy's name.

I've had this problem before...
I chose Minagi as my name because she's my favorite character. Sweet and kind, but she's the best sword player. I lurve her ^.^ If she was real I would be fallowing her around like I was a shadow.

Minagi, I used to have a best friend name Whitney. And he as a HE.
So that's living proof. It's uncommon, but it's there.

And I still know guys named Ashley.
It's common in African Americans. I've noticed.
