I plan on paper. I hardly use my cellphone except to call for directions or to tell someone I'll be late. (a rare occurance)

Sometimes I have this feeling when I'm writing on paper that I'm leaving behind blueprints to something.

Ecspecially, my stories and thoughts.
My own review on groups and today's events. Kinda like an exploerer writing down his thoughts of a new world and the people of that land he has been observing.

well, i don't text. if i need to contact someone i call them or direct connect them with my phone (love you nextel.....even though you cost a fortune....) if i want to email - i email. it is not an issue for me. i have very few buttons to push to radio connect to anyone i need to talk to. other than that....not important enough for me to take my eyes off the road for. honestly, i've been in a horrific accident that almost cost me my husband and daughter due to and inattentive driver, and one of my best friends who just came back with me from afghanistan got rear-ended on his brand new bike he ordered over there for the same reason.

thank God he wasn't hurt more than a few scrapes and bruises. the driver that hit him contiued to run over his motorcycle, because they thought he turned right through the intersection after the impact. nice. how about looking out your winshield? outdated means of assesing the situation, i guess. distracted with the phone.

but worse than yourself getting hurt; what if you caused someone else's death? it only takes a fraction of a second to cause an accident. i can't think of any call or text i've made or recieved that was worth that.

distracted drivers cause more deaths and disabiities than the wars on all fronts combined. but nobody gives them medals. what you can do to help is pay attention on the road. don't be aggressive. try to anticipate what a person might do. use your signals. and learn to merge. and don't be distracted by writing to your buddies. they'll be there when your trip is over. inshalah.

ps- i think phone texting was invented by the japanese because of the crowded train situation made phone calls impossible. just what my instructor told us. they banned cell phone calls on the trains due to practical reasons that made texting a natural solution that is not one for drives of automobiles (or trains) here. i could be wrong. but i think not, this time.
