Darkness

Are you afraid of the dark?
Of what lies beyond?
The potential terrors that you know will seek you out?
The things that don't exist?
The journey of life?
Never-ending sorrow?
Loneliness?

Darkness is not just a lack of light.
It is also a fear of what's to come - rational or irrational.
It is everything that you do not know.
Remember that when you say your'e not afraid of Darkness.
Because you're a liar.

For the first time in a long time, my writing will show The Real Me.
I'm neither philosopher nor scholar; just a guy who likes to write.
But I keep my works to myself.
I'm afraid of sharing,
becuase I know people will think me different.
Not the same as them.
Just a crazy kid with a couple of dreams he'll never attain.
Yup, that's me... or, at least, that's what they say.
I lie to myself and say it matters not, but it really does.
That's why I keep so much to myself.
My obsession with the odd,
My special treasures,
My over nostalgia (okay, MAYBE I share that),
my inner thoughts - all for me alone.
Only those who I absolutely trust know The Real Me.
Trust me, you'd know if you're one of those people.
How?
You who have seeen some of the inner workings of my mind,
you who have had long conversations with me about nothing,
you who just might share my pain,
you are special to me... you know The Real Me.
You'll be one of the first to see this.
You won't judge, you'll read and smile.
Maybe even offer some advice or critique.
In either case, you will know.
You will know.

And so, I thank those special few.

The Real Me was hiding... that, and I can't write unless I'm in my room. I hate writing at this computer.

I write in my head. And as soon as I get sit-down time I unload it on wordpad. :]

I believe Yorokobi did a bit of work too. I should talk to him. Speaking of missing members, I miss both him and Ann (shotgun)

A world made up of all our fears

Many hearts have long-since tore

This world is one huge battlefield
No man will be saved
Sending children to their death
With their bones our roads are paved

We are the lost ones
Ten thousand forks in the road
We are prisoners of war
Forever prisoners of war

There is no saving us...

A world where the strong eats the weak
Their eyes inhabit flame
Mercy does not exist in this place
No one dares to hide from blame

This world has seen numerous days
But the soil counts it's dead
One by one they thrust their hate
A never-ending cycle, it's been said

We will always be the lost ones
