Hunting: I have no licence to shoot things, nor the need to kill something for the sake of something to do. When you shoot an animal, you shoot it for meat or population control. Seeing as there is no need for me to do either, there is no need for me to hunt.

Trapping: When one traps something, they usually trap it for a reason. As stated above under hunting, I have no need to trap anything that I'd end up killing. And if I'm not killing it, why traumatize it?

Fishing: Something about sitting with a large stick with a string attached to it in hopes of catching a small marine animal not only prevides me with little distraction but utter frustration in waiting hours for an animal that is not catchable. I can identify a fair amount...but. Meeeh.

Turtle Trapping: If I'm not eating it...why?

Mushroom Hunting: This is actual something I've been known to do. I find fungi highly interesting and have been known to walk through the forest to gaze upon both poisonous and edible mushrooms. I don't eat them, but I enjoy observing them. And anyone who can't tell a real morel from a false morel is an IDIOT. >_<

Collect Acorns: For what purpose? Am I a furry woodland creature? Am I EATING said tree nut?

Walking: To WHERE?

Biking: To WHERE?

There. I've finished stabbing those ideas. XD

Sooo.... Have you tried ANYTHING under the notion of "why not"?

Some of the best times of my life are accounted for with that philosophy. Not anymore though, had my fill of "good times".

Just a thought.

Traumatize is an offensive word for me. . . dude, I have caught coyotes, coons, and foxes they are usually sleeping when I come up to them, that's when they freak out because a human is there... well coons and foxes are usually calmer, but coyotes are control freaks.

Now, the turtle trapping is the profitable! On average $60000... I don't trap for the money, it just pisses you off when you don't get catch anything. It's nice though!

Acorns... out Department of natural resources pays $40 for a bucket of acorns. Our DNR is awesome! MN's SUCKS, sorry, but they are a bunch of morons! >.< At least, there not as bad as CA... *shudder*

Walking and biking for the sake of just walking and enjoying God's creation ^_^ Everything is a work of art, so I like to enjoy it. Sometimes I'll sit in the road and just watch the clouds go by or stand and look at a patch of woods for like 10 min.

Comix, I'm so glad your not a tree hugger! Your just plain not intrested in some outdoor activities... but if you are a bunny hugger... I'll eat your bunny.... grrrr

Hey, I'm not a tree hugger in a hippie sense...but I HAVE hugged a tree.

In my defense, it was a willow, so it wasn't lame. XD

And I usually have a good reason for everything I do. Rationality...or fun. ^_^
